Competition MM pull (pre-lim) info

Competition May 20th Blackfoot ID sled pull

Fellas, I missed the dyno, but was "told" two trucks that pulled dynoed over 800 HP the day before.

Well, if they were the 800 HP trucks, they pulled like a nice stocker with a box.

They weren't the same trucks, or that dyno is REALLY messed up.

That’s the great part about CR electronics, making you p-pump act like that is imposable. The industrial Injections shop truck is a daily driver, and laid down 812 #2 only , with a single .

The future is almost here, with totally tunable stand alone computers, the 1000 hp mark is only a step away; the handicap now is trying to work around the factory computers.

That was the funny part about everything. Noone could tell what trucks laid down the 893 and 849. The 849 truk has all of the stock exhaust piping. Both are total sleepers.

Yep those guys laid down some good numbers without a doubt. FYI the correction factor was 6%, same as it was when I dynoed back in 04'.

Looks to me like the 812 on #2 with a single is the mark to beat and the rest of us are trying to stay up... ..... including me. Now as for a grand like Greg is talking about I don't see an issue with a tuneable electronic system. Next thing is who is going to break the 1000 mark, maybe a vendor or maybe one of there sponsored truck..... hum!

As for the Twins it also looks like Brett's truck running the Silver Bullet and being clean at that HP almost rules the Twins thing out.

Jim

I would just like know for SURE if anyone who dynoed over 600 HP pulled the next day, and where did they place.

Because the ONLY truck I saw pulling that had a remote chance of seeing 800 HP, was BBD.

I believe a Ford was ahead of most of the Dodges, and Chevies, at the pulling track also.

You guys have got to get out of the fantasy dyno HP land you live in.

Does anybody consider that since he had a long ride home and didn't trailer it that he was pulling with a considerably less HP setting??

Sleddy your just jealous. :D You never had any earth shattering numbers at our dyno events. :D J/K

This oughta get good lol. Did BBD dyno the same day? Only way to tell...

the cool thing is that all the #'s from I. I. were with out drugs and a single turbo, not to mention only one box... ... ..... barry from NADP put down some good #'s with just a stage 1, but even with good #'s I. I. and NADP had there share of problems all weekend----belive me when i tell you, there is alot of power to be had from these trucks-----when you guys come back east hopefully my truck wont break :-laf :-laf

The correction factor was 8-9%

Not relly the 812 run used NOS

Already two different correction factors listed!!!LOL

So take away 10% correction factor, a 200 shot of Nitrous, propane, meth, your drug of choice, plus turn it down to get home and poof! We have a 400hp truck sledpulling.

Or, we have a dyno that was reading high. :-laf

I did not Dyno as I was there strictly to sled pull. I have dyno'ed 865 before with the fuel turned down and a 15% mix of water/meth at Ken Imlers Diesel and I was informed by some some folks who dynoed there regularly and who frequent the MM event each year that they see anywere from 50 to 100 rwhp more at MM. Not sure if this is true or not just what I heard but it would mean that I would have most likley been over the 900 mark. But then again that's twins and a whole lot more coin invested, can't imagine if I had a 50/50 mix and Nos :D I myself am getting out of the Dyno scene as it does nothing for me and I am concentrating on the sled pulling.

to be exact brett's first run was 688 w/ nitrous, his second run was 813 w/ out nitrous--------his truck was having electronic problems and was running to lean to make any power with nos, so there you have it 800+ on # 2 only and one box. thats straight from brady. :--) :D

SLEDDIE , LEAN IS MEAN, With the advent of the huge CR pumps that Brady has been working on for the last year, the days of the old p pump are numbered. You can’t make the pressures of a p pumps injection compare with the 5000 bar, available in the common rail injections, it will expose more fuel to the air, and make lean and mean hp. Given a week, and not two day that they had with the latest system that NX has, I predict a 1000 hp will be broken with a common rail with one of Brady’s new pumps .

you are very correct, its coming very soon, COMP461 are you using one of the modded cp3's yet? :-laf

Yawn.

Wake me up when it happens, and leave the drugs at your dealers.

So far all I have seen is inaccurate dynos, and flogs of drugs to make any power on the VP-44s or CRs.

If somebody would spend the time to make adjustable timing on the P-pump, it would obsolete the CRs in competition overnight.

Why are you using a P-pump again Greg?

he wasn't at May Madness but I know that SAlex (aka Bondo) put down 627 with no drugs or chemicals of any kind at the Diesel Power challenge and pulled at that same setting on his CP3 truck. I am hoping for someone other than Brady to run one of his unicorn CP3 pumps and see what they are like in the real world. :D
