Competition MM pull (pre-lim) info

Competition May 20th Blackfoot ID sled pull

These threads get out of hand because there is always someone that thinks they know more than you do and if you can make power and they can't, then your cheating something or cheating the dyno. I've been dealing with this for 2 years now and it all started at M/M 04' when I got accused of using either N2O or Propane even though I had my hood open and was away from the truck for hours. Proved it on the dyno in front of everyone and on the dyno sheet but that is still not good enough... ... . at least I always show the sheet.

If anyone doubts it on my end then I'll give you my Commands phone number and you can work the leave dates and I'll drive to an event out of my pocket. If it works good, if it fails that's fine also.

Already two different correction factors listed!!!LOL

So take away 10% correction factor, a 200 shot of Nitrous, propane, meth, your drug of choice, plus turn it down to get home and poof! We have a 400hp truck sledpulling.

Or, we have a dyno that was reading high. :-laf

Man'o'man, that was 6 pages of fun reading...

BTW - I leave my truck on the 600hp setting about 90% of the time... And I always seem to make it home :)

Very well said!

The people that are making the accusations are also scared of what the future holds. They also have no idea what the mods are on these trucks. I have seen and ridden in Brett's truck, it is a fast ride and streetable. The guys at Industrial Injection are trying things that no one else that I know have tried. I am sure their truck's will be making more hp once they get the bugs out and start tuning it.

I missed the dyno's but the sled pullin was a lot of fun to watch. I made a video of the event just have no where to host it. It's about 33mb and about 5 1/2 minutes long if somebody wants to host it. Also it's in . mov format (quicktime).

If you can email it to me I will host it...

I don't care how far you moved the sled, 800HP should FREAKING ROAST THE TIRES.

So I'm supposed to believe that an 800 hp truck hooked to a sled and just babyed it for giggles? :D

My, my, my.

yep, 1000 miles and i'm thinking of selling it and didn't want to blow anything and it did roast the tires. The track was horrible Gene, . . you saw BBD and the gas rigs tires up in smoke. The 06 doesen't run like the 03 anyways. The ecm is just soo much different. Any little thing and it throws a fit. Nothing major, but the 06 trucks just need a little more attention. You can say what you want, i didn't run NOS(at the track), and i've pulled a sled twice before. The inj. in the 06 aren't Don's either and they just don't work like Don's. The 03 has a bigger turbo with bigger inj. and the 06 doesn't spool like the 03. Don's inj. work like no other set.

also i'm running an auto with a looser stall, take it for what its worth. Its meant to drag race. Next year will be a different story. I learn quick. 1000 HP common rails that will dominate all sports, (in the West). The guys in the east just have the sled pulling down pat.

I would like to thank the guys at NADP (Barry & Mat) for driving 2000 miles to be at May Madness and help make it a success. They are holding a diesel event up there in August and will be hosting Drag Racing, Sled Pulling and a Dyno event. The good event looks to be the BIKINI event and there web site already is showing pictures of girls that are already signed up to compete. They are very sure that at least 50 gals will be competing for a cash prize. I am hoping to be one of the judges for this event. This sounds like fun to me. These guys make very good power and they have great transmission's. They know their bussiness.

UMMmmm - would this by chance be a "hands-on" event?

Need any more "judges"? Oo. Oo.

This has to be Brett posting :-laf

Or Brady just got a whole lot "cooler" in my book :D

I'd like to make it out there for that one!

BTW - I dynoed 592 and made my first sled pull one truck behind BBD. With twins I got put into the Pro Modified class. Scott knew I was new and didn't want to have the shortest number so he went ahead and popped out a freeze plug and twisted a driveshaft so I'd feel a little more confident!

Melissa made a great pull! I think her clutch was grabbing and she didn't let it out all the way and it was causing the hop. Once she got the clutch engaged it pulled great. I know she'll be hooking up again!

I'd like to thank everyone at the pulls for helping out us newbies to pulling with setting up our trucks and pulling strategy. The sportsmanship out there was awesome! I had a blast!

Went to last years NADP event and plan on going again up here---Barry puts on a good show, hope it will be even better this year---PS-Barry can take credit for starting me on the bombing slope,3-4 years ago he sold me my first chip at the rv show---Edge EZ. Now look at all my crap---wallet is a little lighter but its worth every penny when you drop the hammer. Oo. Oo. Oo. Ps i will make it out to MM one year,it sounds like its worth the 24+hour drive. :-laf :-laf :-laf
