Ive read this entire post and I am confused. I do not understand all the talk about rail pressure caps,30,000psi,and what not. Congrats to tomeygun for buying a new product and informing us on it. What exactly is the stage 1 mod? What is the stage 2?I have a cp3 mod that made 86rwhp and it maintains factory rail pressure and you dont have to put your fass into hyperdrive. To back up my hp gain Relentless Diesel just put the same package I have on a 06 mega cab. After getting a baseline with the twins and tst,the cp3 was added and the truck picked up an additional 96rwhp for a total of 682hp. How does getting the fass to put out 40psi help the the cp3,the reasoning for the pressure increase I am guessing to to assist the gear pump on the cp3 put more fuel out?The internal pressure the gear pump makes is in the 70-80psi range, why not feed it with 80psi?
I admit I was unsure if to start this thread well knowing I did not keep up my end of the bargain with the fuel pump requirements which have resulted in IMO a HP number that could and will be better as I address said FP issues.
I had been shopping around for some time for a Cp3 mod, and the reason I did not go with the relentless diesel mod is due to when someone comes out with an RPM program, I do not feel the relentless-modded CP3 will handle 4500 rpms plus the overdrive of the smalled gear. That would make the CP3 run as if at like 6000 rpms. I am not sure that it can handle that rpm.
Then I would be stuck with a CP3 that cannot take advantage of higher RPMs which are needed with a sled pulling truck. As far as putting your FASS into hyper-drive, I intend to test that info with a multitude of tests with bypass regulators, etc, etc
I am certainly happy to see more than one company making CP3 mods. I think both CP3 are great, and customer will be able to chose based upon future plan and usage, etc...
BTW - yours numbers, geesh - slow down we need time to catch up!
It seems a 500hp 3rd gen truck is so common in todays market... I remember back when I bought a 35psi boost gauge, told myself I would NEVER go over that, HA, right... .
PS - let me add that one of the first truck for has this stage one picked up 8 tenths on the 1/4 mile ( 13's to mid 12's). Anyone around drag racing knows thats like a 80hp gain on the motor. My point is I fully intend to make a 600hp pull on january 1st when I get my 150HPFP with bypass regulator. (I just may bring some "turbo in a bottle" -- Just in case
