I posted this in the 'Beware' thread but wanted to make sure anyone needing an alarm - but not wanting to hack up the factory wiring harness - should know there is an option.

I just installed this Mopar system - works well - install went pretty well (I always take 3 times as long as anyone else) - But I like the fact that I know where everything is and why. The system comes with a great harness -plug and play basically. Only 2 wires to vampire and solder (courtesy light by driver left foot and parking light at switch).

The only hitches I had were

-Identifying the courtesy light wire - on my '01 it's the yellow. The instructions say YL but they confuse it with 'the #8 socket' in connector - and isn't it just Y? L is Blue I thought. The connector body is numbered on back but man are they small.

-Picking a location for the indicator light. - I put mine right behind (closer to driver) from the hazard button on the column.

-Picking a location for the hidden switch that the system incorporates.

-The EVS harness had a bullet terminal that was not fully inserted into connector body. - Found it the next day. CHECK HARNESS

- I installed the siren too close to the fender well and had to move it somewhere less accessible - right above the factory horns behind the right headlight worked good - and it's impossible to yank the wires from underneath. - Hell you'd have a hard time getting to the wires looking at it from the top with the hood open.

- Who knows if it will work - it was cheap insurance against the 'casual' thief

Do by any chance still have the manual for the EVS II security alarm you posted back in 2006
I cannot find the correct manual anywhere
