I have searched the internet with a multitude of word combinations trying to find the installation instructions for the Mopar Side Steps. I have to install eight Rivnuts under the truck and need to know if there's a torque spec to getting them installed. Anyone know?

Thanks

HPS,

I was working my way there when you replied. I'm noticing the used OEM steps I bought only has two brackets, whereas all the new ones have three. There's holes to attach a third bracket, so I will look to see what I can find.

Thanks

Two brackets are for cab length, three are for wheel well length. If you order the Mopar brackets they come with the Rivnuts and fasteners.

So the two bracket versions are still useable and safe? I'd like to use this one I bought used locally, but I don't want to have any issues with it.

The brackets are the same. I used PN 68199103AA. I also purchased the hardware kit PN 68193128AB but all the fasteners were included in the bracket kit.

Just make sure they are the tall brackets for the HD trucks. The LD ones will bolt up but the proximity to the cab makes them almost useless. I see more than enough HD trucks with the wrong brackets running around to know it’s a common issue.
