I haven't experienced any loosening, of course I use sealant on all screw fasteners and Loctite on the rest. I will say that the mopar heavy duty ones look pretty good.

Yeah I’m not sure what the deal was with mine. I even got new hardware at one point and it didn’t fix the issue.

Well, yours are different than mine we’re. They took constant tightening with the supplied hardware.

Did you try any loc-tite? I use it on anything I'm concerned about coming loose, though after 60k miles and no loc-tite, mine are fine.

I did not. I was going to, but then one fell off on the interstate and I could never get ahold of duraflap to see if I could just buy a single so I pulled the other 3.

Thats weird. I called them two, maybe three times when I placed my order a few years ago, never an issue getting in touch with someone.

I always got ahold of them too. Very nice lady on the phone, willing to do anything to make the customer happy(me). Even e-mails answered fairly quickly.

I had great luck when I ordered the new hardware, but the several attempts for a new flap went unanswered. I was quite surprised based on everything I have heard.

So, do the Mopar Splash Guards work with the side steps or not?

I’m finding mixed info.

Anyone running both?

Crew Cab with OE fender flares.
I have a 2016 3500 crew cab and have both installed. The boards were pushing on the flaps and deforming them slightly. I had a brain fart one day so I switched the boards from one side to the other. The result was that it moved the boards 3" back absolutely perfect it takes 10 min. just take the boards off leave the brackets. My boards only have 2 brackets .

My 2018 2500 did not have side steps nor splash guards when I bought it.
I installed the Mopar wheel 2 wheel side steps and later installed the Mopar splash guards.
The front of the steps would not clear the splash guards so I cut 1" off the tubular steps.
Put the plastic trim end piece back on and you can't even tell I cut anything.

Well, I installed the MOPAR wheel to wheel steps last night, and have the HD flaps on order.

Sounds like most the clearance issues are with the molded flaps.

I’ll post up some more pics when the flaps get here.

AH64ID, how did the flaps work out? I have run the Mopar molded on the last two trucks, but they only offer the HD rubber for duallies.

If the flaps are anything like my Mopar ones do yourself a favor and get some of that clear plastic pebble guard or whatever they are calling it. Put that on before the flaps because they will rub through the paint.

They don’t touch the body anywhere, just the plastic fender flares.

I am confused (not unusual for me) What are the fender flares? Are they just the 6" - 8" plastic at the rear of wheel opening at the bottom held on with 2 small bolts? If I read right, you have to order the HD Mopar flaps (Splash Guards) for application with or with-out fender flares, I think Mine has those small plastic pieces bolted on. I can take photo and probably put it on a future note here.

See the silver going up and around?

This reminds me, I never posted any pics with the flaps.
