To get the full benefit from the 275's you will need a fooler and an elbow to dial it in. The ecm will pick up an overboost and back off fuel as you cross 21-22lbs. You can run without the fooler but your not going to get the full benefit of the injectors.

Mine is an early 99 with a set 275's as soon as they were available for the 24 valve. It wasn't long and I was in touch with the supplier and notifying them on the defueling. I can actually feel it They said they were aware of it and were working on a fooler. That was a long time ago and now foolers are very common.

marksmith, I checked, I have the HX-35 Turbo, DOC says the 4 inch should do the trick. What is, and where do I get a "fooler" and elbow? Guess if I need um I better get um. Hope they aren't made outta gold.

Rusty, that your truck? Or a catalog photo. What I need to find is a front end crashed vehicle that someone is selling the hauler body off of. Good Luck, huh?

Was waiting to do the stacks till after I found the hauler body, just made sense to me. Now gonna do the exhaust cause I'm afraid I'll blow or melt something running without it while searching for the bed deal I can afford.

Cheers,

Steve J.

puttin in my two sense

i have 4 inch exhaust a K&N cut out air box, 275s and a 90 hp edge, my boost is 36psi and i can more than cover up 1300* easy on my pyro without a load, my truck is my weekend driver, never loaded. clutch slips in fifth and sixth with a light stomp of the pedal. just wanted to put my two sense in.

ps. never thrown a code, well i have but it was electrical malfunctions.
