On my way home from work tonight the engine light came on, truck lost power and off to the shoulder I go again.

I pulled both fuel filters out, inspected them and put them back in. The filters only have 3K miles on them. The under hood filter looked brand new and the rear filter had clean fuel pour out of it. I got back on the road and drove an hour and a half home, but it seemed to be lacking full power. The 01-06 codes are now gone, but the 08 and A codes are still there. This is getting pretty sickening as this is a new truck and it is my daily driver. It's sad when it's broke down just as much as when it's not.

Kinda hard to hold a solid argument with the guys at work to which diesel is better. We have 4 '15 Ford diesels and all of them have over 30K miles. One of them is close to 100K miles and not one of them has had a problem. My '14 now has 53K miles and the problems are never ending. Pretty disappointing.

I don't get caught up in crap like this. I especially hate the guys that wanna talk diesel at the fuel pump.

Kinda hard to avoid. I've pushed for so many years here to get rid of the problem plagued Fords and now it's turning around on me. Everyone here knows how hard I tried to make it happen, now my truck is the only Dodge here and the only truck with problems.

Don't forget that Ford and Chevy fan boys are better at not always sharing their diesel woes with Cummins owners

The shame of it is a $.25 cent terminal not fully seated somewhere in a harness could be the cause......

I agree, but the Fords here at work are work trucks that get severely abused and terribly neglected on maintenance. I drive one of these trucks and I'm not easy on it. I've pounded the pi** out of this truck and it just keeps going.

There are just as many other brands that have quirky issues. You just got dealt bad cards with your truck. I'm not a member, but I read a lot over on forum B. There are countless, "No more Ford for me" threads.

I also think Wilson hit the nail on the head with loose connections somewhere in the system.

Wife brought truck to dealer yesterday morning. When she started the truck at home she said the engine light was off and the truck ran good all the way there. The tech couldn't find any codes at all and the engine light had stayed off. He wiggled, pulled and pushed on wiring harnesses and couldn't get anything to go wrong. So, nothing he could do, truck is running good.

I totally understand he can only check so many things before giving up when nothing presents itself. He's doing whatever he can and I appreciate it. I had an idea, but maybe it's a long shot. Do any of you think it could be related to my CTS monitor? I do not have a programmer, it's just the monitor. Could the CTS be messing with signals somehow and causing theses problems? From my understanding, and I might be wrong, the CTS only receives signals and readings and does not send signals out. Anyway, I unplugged it and I'm going to drive for a while without it to see if anything returns.

My place is installing these devices that rat you out similar to the insurance company devices. These are installed inline with the OBDII and give another plug for you so as not to be disturbed. These things are wreaking havoc with the vehicles light and heavy class. Unplug that thing for now. I don't have reference now, but what are all the 200 series codes?
When your truck was in, look and see or even ask if it got any power train flashes. Ford has a flash to deal with a SCR/NoX issue. And that fixes it.

Don't fret. You have the better truck. Now I'm hearing that the Ford 6.7's are ejecting injectors right outta the head.

Thought I'd add a quick post to say that I had similar problems as mentioned above. Computer would not store codes either. Dealership replaced my Power Distribution Center (engine compartment fuses) and all is back to perfect. I was getting DEF errors, canbus errors and others too.

Personally, all these codes would tell me there is an electrical issue.. Poor ground, or maybe loose or wet connection.. Maybe even an ecu problem..
