That step placement is 99% useless. My Dad ordered one for his 12 DRW and sent it back. So I came up with the proper step placement to access toolbox and my B&W hitch handle.

I had a workaround for a bed lowering mode in the ‘18, but this one has a dedicated option for it. Pretty nice for unloading. 3.5” lower than it would be in normal ride height with 2K lbs of payload, and 1.5” lower without any payload.

cool.... I have plenty of room, not sure the extra few inches will make a difference but it wont hurt until I move it to more like Ron's is.

If I reverse the bracket and drill a new hole, plus move the step aft I can get it to be this far aft. Still not enough. What is amp thinking!?

Like I said it's a USELESS step and it needs to be where I mounted mine!!! I reach into my bed height 30" front to back HighwaysProducts tool box and B&W hitch easily at my location.

I find it ridiculous that a truck that is equipped with AT tires comes with a HT spare. The Transforce HT sidewalls are so flimsy I don’t like the thought of using one as a spare on a dirt road a long ways from town.

So I snagged this Open Range A/T off of marketplace for $40. Mounted it myself and put some beads from a previous set of tires in it. It’s even 3PMSF rated. Build date of 2020 and better than 70% tread. Cheap and effective!

I ended up with a set of Go Rhino RB20 Slim boards. They aren’t wheel to wheel but I like them. Time will tell what I do for the bed access.

Yes the sidewalls on the Firestone ht stock tires are pretty flimsy I have noticed also. At Beaver Creek ready to cross the border back into the good old USA 400 miles to home very rough roads huge potholes. Etc slow driving. Tires ride nice but they do scare me as far as side wall strength . How are you liking the whole power train setup on that new truck. Pretty sweet right. No issues so far 11k very soon. Fuel mileage is my only gripe I guess

The powertrain is awesome. Very nice improvements over the ‘18, which was a pretty flawless setup.

Spent a little time on the new pickup this weekend.

I’ve got 4 of the 6 aux switches in use. Such a great option!

Switch 1: aux backup lights. I used Rigid SR-M lights on Baja Designs brackets. These have been sitting on the shelf for 8 months, great to finally install them. I did not tie them into the reverse light circuit. For most situations the OEM reverse light and aux reverse lights in the mirrors are plenty, but these will be great for those other times.

Switch 2 is the ViAir 400 that came from the ‘18. It’s mounted in the same spot, but I added more vibration absorption. The vibration is like going from a 24V to a CGI 6.7. I still have to mount the air hose fitting, but that won’t take long. I’m moving it from under the bed to in the bed near the bed light switch.

Switch 3 is for the winch wiring solenoid.

Switch 4/5 are still not being used.

Switch 6 is for my Tire Minder Trailer TPMS Booster. The truck has trailer TPMS, but I only plan to put sensors in my 5th wheel and I already have 6 TireMinder sensors that are easy to swap between trailers.

I knocked out the first oil change. I know it’s fine to go to 15K on the factory fill, but I just can’t do it  Less than 90 seconds to get the OE filter off and out thru the fender. I removed the intake on the ‘18, but the ‘22 will be thru the fender.

I need to snap a few pics, but installed my front receiver as well. It’s the same model @Turbo Terry has. It’s stout! I also like that it’s a “skid plate” for the fairly exposed intercooler. They send a receiver license plate bracket but I modded the OEM one to fit. I still need to do the final torque on the 3/4” and M16 bolts. My torque wrench doesn’t go to the 200 lb/Ft required, so they are currently at 150 lb/Ft.

Lastly, I’m trying something new and coating the undercarriage with Amsoil HD MP as a corrosion prevention measure. I’m hoping it also helps clean mud off. It gets great reviews on multiple forums.
