Moving to 2nd Gen

I have finally succumbed to my wife’s need for a comfortable riding truck and bought a 2000 4x4 #@$%! I have to say it does ride nice. Thanks everyone for your knowledge; it has saved me a ton of money. If only I could swap-in my 1st gen axles and T-case. I just found TDR’s Classified section so my truck should post in a day or so.

I like the looks of them and all. Still with the 12 valve though as I work on the 24 valve engines and pretty much don't (have to) work on the 12's. I can't recall off hand how many of which there are in my (school bus) fleet, but the 24 valve engines keep me occupied.



I like the sound of the 24 valve engine. They seem to "knock" more.

Ironically, my W250 rides nicer than my D350. Go figure. If I can get the (W250) MPGs up around 20 on the hwy, I'll keep it. If not, I have a4x4 dually I'll get to see how it rides.
