Hello all, Im writing this because I have all this built up anger and have nothing to do with it. About an hour ago I watched my truck drive out of my driveway and off into the night. Yeah... thats right, stolen. My truck, which every time I drive it, fall more in love with it, is gone. And with the rep. the local cops have around here, never to return. I just got in tuned the way I like it, cleaned up, and looking oh so nice. I cant express to you in words the feeling I had listening to the sweet sound of my muffler off in the distance, knowing that a couple of punks were beating the crap out of it. I didnt think things could get any worse, until the cops showed up and said they spotted it, then lost it turning around to chase it. I dont know what I'm going to do!!!!!

Knowing you guys/gals are the best on the net, I just wanted to vent to someone, thanks for lending an ear.

Also, this story wouldn't be complete if I didn't tell you that I was especially happy earlier today because... ... ... ... ... ... . went to the bank and payed the truck off early. No bull

Mine was stolen while I watched in april, fueling it up in KC. They found it driving down the street at night with only the park lights on, and full of stolen stuff, with stolen tags on it. It was missing about two weeks, and they had put about 500 hard miles on it. The rear quarter panel & bumper were black with soot, & it never gets dirty whenI drive it. Well they towed it in to my closest Dodge dealer, and after they repainted the bed, replaced the carpet, and hung on some new runnning boards & box, it was back home again. After 6k miles of driving since I got it back, it feels as sassy as it ever did. They aslo stole the old original hitch reciever & my "Truck-Nuts"! When they pulled out the old cigarette burnt, carpet, they found a loaded . 357 Colt Python tucked under it above the foot feed. The PD and the ins. co. both told me to give it about 3 weeks or so, it'll turn up one way or the other. Good luck & keep us posted.

That SUCKS! Sorry to hear about your loss. Did they hotwire it? Did you forget the keys in it? Was it locked? I've heard that you can gain access to our trucks by drilling a small home in the door handle & jimmy the lock but have never actually seen it 1st hand... ...

Hope you get it back soon!

Its an intense blue sport, quad cab short box. Is there any way to post a pic? I cant remember how. It was in my garage, I had just come home, and left the garage door open for a couple minutes as I always do to let it air out, because I have to back into the garage. I threw the keys into the door pocket (bad habit), so I dont know if they found them or hotwired it. I thought I would feel better after sleeping, but I feel worse. The mind is a funny thing, had dreams all night that I got it back. I mean, detailed dreams where I can remember looking the truck over for damage etc. I'll keep you guys informed

Pictures...

Do you have pictures of it? What is the liscense plate number? - might see it around town, doubt it, but can follow and call the cops if I see it...

Heres the pic, license plate BLUTHDR

Sorry to hear about that. I'll keep my eyes out for it down here in CO. Not likely to show up here, but I'll keep em peeled just the same.

Good luck.

****UPDATE**** This morning about 9am, the police found my truck in a bean field about 2 miles from my house. They had hide it behind a berm so they wouldn't be spotted. They took the radio (of course) but actually took the dash apart and unscrewed everything! The dash is all intact, but they clipped all the wiring, which I think is going to be tough to find a replacement harness. They left: $100 in cash in console, subwoofer box sitting on seat-not even bolted down, they took: my loose change, a pair of safety glasses? and a pair of work golves? Go figure

As far as the truck, all the windows are intact, however they walked all over the hood, denting it, and judging by the fuel level, and odometer reading, didnt drive it too far. All things considered, I think I was pretty lucky.

Thanks for all of your concern:)

Now being a true TDR'r, does anyone know anything about those aftermarket cowl hoods:D If I have to replace it, I might as well upgrade it right?

Man that is bad, I need to get some kinda hidden kill swith on mine. I mean I have alot of addons and I am starting to worry about it. Any Ideas?

in my fuel system, I have a 90 deg ball valve that I can reach under the truck and turn it off. Truck runs for about 30 seconds then dies... ... Just long enough so you can catch up to them and knock the livin' S%*T out of them!!

See the red handle by the filter?

Ahhh, but the problem is that you are violating their rights at this point, and they have twice as much since they took yours - thus you have no rights, and will get the harsher punishment. They walk as the victims, and you will spend the next 15-30 in stir fending off "Buba" in the shower.

No witnesses, big open field, or a DEEP well/mine shaft.

Three can keep a secret if two are dead... .

I'll tell you this. Jody is the love of my life. If anybody ever does anything to him I'd definitely be the one in the pen for goin' after 'em. :mad: Sooooo sorry about your truck. :{

You can splice the yellow wire going to the lift pump and put a switch in or do like Eric suggested and put a manual valve in-line.

Glad to hear you got it back
