If you're feeling disappointed in the reliability of your new truck spend an hour or so tonight browing the Ford site. It will improve your satisfaction.

I belive he is well aware of the "other" site's, it seems he joined the thro's of disappointed 6. 7 owners, 15 posts ago. Seems suspicious to me, for there are only a couple of unsatisfied members W/ 6. 7 engines that I,m aware of and if you read the "other" sites "they" think there are "thro,s" of us unhappy owners. :-laf

RVTRKN,

I've noticed the same thing. The couple of new owners with "big problems" have no information in their handle or signature and joined in January.

I hate to be ugly, suspicious, and doubting but have noticed the same thing.

Paul,

I certainly agree with you. If you ask the right questions here someone usually has a helpful suggestion.

There a few very knowledgeable owners here mixed in among 1000s of opinions.

Yes I agree , I have had some problems and I believe that there are a few of you guys that could fix my truck. I appreciate you guys suggesting I use a different dealer. Check my other post today in TURBO #3?? This site is awsome and I appreciate all of it ... even the responses that aren't exactly what I want to hear. I am one of these guys that have people call me on the phone and ask me to listen to something run and advise them. They have way too much faith in me. Very soon I will learn how to troubleshoot these trucks and I will have you guys to thank for it . I am that determined and I have that much desire.

RVTRKN AND Hbarlow:

Trust me, I am a verifed 2007 Dodge 6. 7L owner. I am not here to make the Dodge 6. 7 look bad. I am not a Ford fanatic trying to mislead folks into think the Dodge is a lemon!!!!!!

I bought the Dodge diesel becuase I knew it was a better motor than the Ford or the Chevy diesel. I do like my truck, but I think maybe I am a little disappointed that I could not say I have had no troubles with it.

UPDATE: The dealer called me and told me they got the truck fixed. They said that a hose slipped off the power steeing pump. I do not know how this is possible.

I think maybe what the mananger meant to say was that a line had a leak in it.

I have not picked up the truck yet. But I'll let you know how it runs when I get it.

I also had them enable the high idle feature and re-flash the computer with the latest updates. We'll see how that goes.

The charged me $36. 00 to enable the high idle feature.

You;d think they could have done it for free since it only takes 5 minutes to do!!!!!!!

5 minutes at $36. 00 = $432 per hour :D That seems reasonable... NOT! It's just another way to pad the bottom line. They should do it for free because they already were hooked up to it to reflash the firmware on the computer, which they will charge back to Chrysler under warranty. It's not like they specifically got out the equipment only to enable the fast idle. What ever happened to customer service?

OK guys:

Got the truck back and all seems well for now. I don't know how a power steering line could simply slip off, but that is what they say happened.

So, we'll see what happens in the next few weeks of driving.

Surfbeetle, I know what you mean. They already had the STAR scanner connected for the re-flash. I don't know why they would need to charge me to enable high idle since they already got so much money out of me when I bought the truck.

I guess they'll make it any way they can get it.
