Lack of time bites me again. Truck still not in storage, a solid month behind schedule...
Warmed up yesterday and poured rain for about 24 hours. Today it’s 50° so figured a great day to fix the car and move the truck down to storage..

Truck has been across the road in the snow for about a month. Walked over to start it, batteries flat....Crap..

Went to put the hood up, wouldn’t stay up..strut or struts decided to give it up.....Double Crap and a few other choice words...

Drag the Honda over, look for newest battery charger and guess what, it’s down to the new place..

So have the two old chargers on it, hood propped up with a 2 x 4.....looks like something off the farm...

There's definately something to be said for hood springs, never really cared that they went to those stupid struts that need replacing. Still have my original springs on the 99. I wonder just how much they actually saved going to those things.

Carrying stuff out for the wife, she’s town bound and I listen for generator noise.....NADA....

Just went over and it would appear that I forgot to open the vent on the gas cap...Whoops.....

It’s running again now...plus I plan to run it out of fuel and then refill with Ethanol Free Gas. A local station has started carrying it and I’m converting my power equipment over at every available opportunity...

Today’s project...new oil pressure sending unit install. Existing one flips out about every two weeks....the “Blue Haired Old Lady” alarm is quite obnoxious...

“Stop engine immediately” on the display, alarms going off, etc....only thing missing is a klaxon....

Oil change is the perfect time to do it as the filter has to come off anyways....

It’s not a common occurrence to be able to work on a vehicle up here in late December with the door open and the heat off in the garage....and be comfortable...:)

We will pay dearly. Of that I’m sure..

Takes a combination of almost every 3/8” drive ratchets, extensions and 13mm socket I own to get that filter head out of there..

This is where it lives, I’ll get another picture when I get the filter head back in place...no blood yet though!!
