I picked up a Storm X-Factor just after Christmas... 5 weeks over 720!!!

Very nice! Keep up the good work!

I've had 3 700's now. One was in the MN mens state tourney last year. I ended up with 6th.

Yes it is yes it is! It's good to be back! My sense of smell is messed up... . so I can't smell them. Good thing... cause I don't like smelling other peoples balls! :-laf :rolleyes: So far one week... . 640... Got beat by my little Brother with a 643! :rolleyes: Oh well, all in good fun we are on the same team for the first time ever! It was fun before cause I know how to get in his head. So we'd end up paired against eachother..... and I'd almost always win! :-laf :-{}

Smelling other people's balls

 I knew there was a reason I stopped bowling! Well, there IS my not being any good at it, but still! :D

I miss the PBA on ABC.......

Anybody else miss ABC's coverage of the Profession Bowlers Tour?

I don't know how to say this, but ESPN does not have the "magic" ABC had. I used to love looking forward to Saturday afternoon @ 2:00 pm. I am 43 so It was on since I can remember.

Perhaps is was Chris Schenkel & Nelson Burton Jr? The "quietness"? I dunno.

I agree Bill, ABC coverage was much better. And I agree, Chris and Nelson were a great team.

I am planning on bowling the Pro-Am in Windsor Locks, March or April. Have to see what the schedule is. I hope I can bowl with P. A.

I found some cool videos...

From '79. Mark Roth's 7-10 Split conversion on ABC.

Did the pin bounce off the plexiglass window they used for the pit camera? I thought I heard this rumor?

A young Pete Weber vs. Art Trask from '85. Note his almost vertical backswing:

Another Pete Weber compilation set to music:

Bob Learn Jr's 300 Game against Johnny Petraglia in Erie, Penn '96. The arena setting in front of his hometown crowd. This was the greatest exhibition of professional bowling I have ever seen. Learn averaged 282. 5 for his four games, and also broke the 3 game and 4 game scoring records. That was unbelieveable!

When I was a kid I wanted the throw the ball like Mark Roth & Pete Weber.

I was in the crowd for the Erie 300!!!!:D The electricity was incredible!

Have been to quite a few arena finals. MUCH better than being at the lanes.

My father used to bowl with Petraglia, Roth, Anthony when he was in college. In 1971, my dad was ready to enter the fall tour. Earlier in the year he got frost bite, really bad on his hands, almost lost his fingers, he did loose out on his bowling career...

:{ never made it. Had too much going on at work.

I wanted to go to Mohegan Sun to watch it in person, but haven't been feeling well all week either. :(

I'll be watching TV also.

Yes, that exact pin...

I have also had the 5 pin "slide on it's base" back to the 8 pin spot.

I have also left the 7,9,10 on a pocket hit, not sure WTF happened, everyone was scratchin their heads. BTW that was while working on the front 7. I think it was the summer league 2 years ago.

How mad you be if you had 11 strikes in a row, and 5 pin was going over but the damn pinsetter can down about a ½ second too fast.

Yeah, me and a few others here at work that bowl pretty well have thought about it. Just no time or desire. I am not even bowling this winter, the fun is LONG GONE!

I did go this past Friday night with a bunch from work and had a blast!
