Off Roading divorced t-case???

well i finally found my new snowmobile! what do ya think?? going to pick it up on the 20th. its a full blown race sled. 0-60 the fastest out there. anybody want in on my death benifits?? :D if your near the lake ganiva area on the 20th (lower wisconsin) ya should stop by and see the fun.

yeah, named her hopper, it looks like a grasshopper :D i get to watch it race the day i pick it up in wisconsin, its a pros sled so it should be pretty cool to watch. right now top speed is 70mph  so im gonna regear it, re clutch it (hits at 5700 now) and put a low compression head on it so i can run premium instead of 110. at $4+ a gallon i wont be riding much until i do :{ . anyone else got any cool lookin sleds on here, i need some ideas to make it stand out a bit, and i like to look at other sleds to see what they have done to them. so if ya have any sled pics post em Oo. Oo.

i think its time for sponsers now :-laf gotta make the payments somehow. a big DTT sticker would look great on there :D j/k. i decided that when the insurance agent sees it after my death this winter it will be considered suicicde  i think i might start racing a little bit next year, anyone else do it? i got the equipment to make a practice track.

I have seen a few around out here and they are definitely sweet but why you would waste that sled running lakes :) That thing is made to fly! Here's a few pics from this year.

oh no, thats its purpose, i just want to be able to fill up at a local gas station and run at 65 mph and keep it in its midrange. its gonna be a ditch bangin fool. just on the trails. its hard to get 110 at shell. the clutch needs to be closer to 5200 for trail reasons.

thats a sweet site and i could only wish to be that good. if i was to try anything like that it would be in december (that way i have all winter to heal). im gonna try my hand at sno x next year, so i will probably have it running both 110 and 93. i am in search of a bigger tank if ya know anyone that might have a idea.

You may want to look into marrying the stock tank with a fusion tank. Find a shop with a plastic welder and some black polypropylene sheet (old nosepans will work) and go crazy. You probably won't get 10 gallons but it'll be better than 3. 5.

holy crap!! :--) now those are some riders! we dream of snow like that around here. i dont know if i could bring myself to jump off the side of a moutain.

ive heard of the rmk tank being put on them, but its kinda ugly. theres a tank i would like to get this summer but im not sure if its finished (problems with the aluminum cracking) so i might try and make one out of stainless steel.

check this one out http://www.kjettro.com/iq.htm i like it but a lot of people were saying that they were cracking. i was thinking about getting one and having it coated with 1/4" bedliner spray to keep it togather. and i can get a cool glow in the dark liner too. i am going to make a 3. 5 gal tank to go on the back with the bigger tank i think too. that aluminum onw is only 8 gallons, with the 3. 5 more i could make the paradise to grand miras trip without a strap Oo.

thats a cool sled, i was almost signing the papers on a new rx1 but... ... .

that darn things heavy!!!!! :--) i think my whole sled weighs as much as the tunnel on that thing :-laf . i was looking at them and i tried (yes thats right TRIED) to lift the front up and wow, thats a pig. it does have reverse but sometimes that dont help and i lift heavy stuff all summer long and wouldnt want to be lifting that too. not to mention im still young and like to do a lot of hard ditch bangin.

how does it hanle in the mougles? some said it wasnt that great.

i say a bender stage 2 kit should be on your list of to do's. ive seen those things over 350hp, that would be fun. i think that might be my next sled if that polaris fst switchback istn all that great.

I Like the warrior as the 4 stroke gig is to me a truly better way to go.

(Hell I blew up a 2 stroke sled 30 Miles from nowhere in any direction and it is NOT fun)

4 Stroke grunt begings right off the throttle stop once the clutch engages and it won't stop pulling from there. It swallows the whops really well and she is a bit darty in corners (Due to that hunk of engine sitting on the skis) and it can make for some sick sideways corner action Oo. Engine braking is another new feeling on the trail. Kinda like throwing on that exhaust brake switch on the dash LOL. The rear track on mine ('04) is One year shy of a MUCH better rear suspension ('O5) :( The new setup swallow much better and are less ... hmm klunky. All in all I am really happy with it. Yeah it is heavy but with some mods I am sure I won't notice that at all. The exhaust note is Piped Street bike on snow. Really a head turner and that all in itself can fire off 11 lbs with a simple change to a bender or MBRP.

Speaking of exhaust I LOVE that intoxicating Polaris 440 Scream  It just whales out an angry cry . The 440 IQ is a race sled no doubt as it IS built on the proven IQ Chassis. Tate is just an animal on that sled. I had the oppertunity to tear it up a 900 fusion last year and Dude that thing is angry. I am willing to liken it to Arctic cat's 900 engine in yamaha's srx chassis. It just is point click and shoot and hope to god you are NOT catching TOO MUCH air

nice comparo ;) when i talked to the guy about this i think he said it dynoed just a touch over 120hp and i dont think it was that heavy. but then again im not sure about the weight.

that rx1 was my dream sled forever until i went riding with some of my agressive riding buddies. then it switched to a race sled. and the exhaust on those is to die for, by far the coolest ive ever heard. those sleds are way to fast for me right now, i like 0-60 in 30ft, but soon i will probably get me a lake racer. ive seen time slips on those at over 163 in the quarter!!!!! so they have room to work with them. theres also a bunch of moutain parts for weight reduction, but again there pricey. where do you ride? ever get to the UP?

i think im gonna try its luck at deep powder next year in montana, that just looks fun. i figure a high hp low weight sled with a 1 7/8" track should do all right, otherwise i would have to shell out the cash for a rmk.

I used to race. Go here http://www.mnnorthsnocross.com/emaphotos.shtml 4th pic down, me and my dad. Under us. . Brett Abrahamson, watch him, he's going to be good, his sister is already kickin butt. I raced pro in the wsa district north, now it's a regional. Had a lot of fun, raced against tucker & kirk hibbert, aaron scheele, matt judnick... . I didn't always keep up though... especially to tucker, but I did beat his old man. I was to a point where I had to go all out or go home basically. I needed to either go to all the nationals and race semi pro or stay at the level I was at (and not gain anything). I could have done it too, I had 2 guys that wanted me to race for them, but basically I couldn't afford to get hurt (I own a cabinet shop, I'm the only employee). The last WSA race I raced at a guy cross jumped in front of me and in turn I wiped and dislocated my shoulder and I decided that if I can't work I have no $$ and I can't have any fun with no $$. So now I focus more on mountain riding. We have a 2001 mountain cat with a D&D predator motor and a PSI 1004cc powered mountain cat, basically everything but the belly pan and shocks is aftermarket on that one.

I miss racing though, actually I raced last weekend in a vintage run, the combined the stock and mods, I got third on a stock 292 skiroule behind a mod rupp and a mod skiroule. It was pretty fun, but next year I'll have a 340 motor and it'll be a mod. :) Maybe next year I'll hop on the speedwerx and go to a wsa regional, just for old times sake.

A buddy of mine has a new 440 IQ, he took it out to yellowstone with us this year, it ran excellent. If you ever go out there I can get the set up that he used. Be warned though, once you go out west, you'll never be the same and you'll want to go back more and more... it's like the bombing bug.

I could go on and on... maybe another time.
