I custom made this bracket out of 3/16th x 1. 5" steel stock. It bolts under the dash above the accelerator pedal in existing holes. It is way up out of the way and in an open area for good access. This central location makes running wires pretty easy for accessories. The grommet near the clutch pedal is close by also.

I used the cigarette lighter as the power for the ingition hot relay on the painless wiring unit. It is within a foot or two of the unit.

Here's a pic of the bracket without the painless wiring unit installed. I used a 1/2" allen head bolt on the top and a 1/4-20 allen head bolt on the bottom. No drilling!

I had this unit from my '99 and I'm installing my CB radio. I needed a power source for the radio. I'll post some pics of that install later.

What's up with all the surface rust on a brand new truck???

Very Nice!

I bought the painless wiring for my wife's truck, but haven't installed it yet waiting on EGT gauge from Genos for 4 months. I still haven't decided if I'm going to mount like yours or under hood.

Still, your's looks really good.
