Thank you so much for the links, we have looked at the many pictures of them. Gail I'm sure will have some questions with respect to the time of the year, its been a long time for him.

We stay in touch with the Family that took Gail in as one of their own, they had a guest house that Gail said let the cold winter winds go right through as if the windows were open wide, but there was always firewood to cut for both their Family and him to keep warm. They lived in Mars Hill ME, Boyd is their last Name. The Father worked on the Air Force Base as a Civilian. Don't know how Gail met him but he was asked if he wanted to keep in shape? Gail told him sure but it was kind of far to go back and forth to the Base. They let him stay in the guest house, to pay them back he was to work with their Daughters in the Potato Fields.

Gail is one that's not the least bit afraid of work, has said many times that sleep came easy back then working the fields was terribly hard work. He owes them a lot he said they didn't care that he had only one leg, they didn't care that he got tired faster. Work was the cure for what ails ya, was the Fathers thinking. He has passed but we send Holiday cards and Gail calls the Girls a few times a year, some very nice people.

Thanks For the Info Mike, Gail is outside with our guest on a horse ride.

These lobster fisherman are territorial as hell, you don't just go buy a boat and start in. You either inherit the area, work your way into it or buy it out. They put up with ZERO b/s if anyone tries to lobster on their turf.

And that lobster bait that he is bagging up is the most disgusting smelling crap in the world. If we get a bait hauling truck in the shop and anything drips off of it the smell lasts for days....

We are much the same way here with having to know different things to make a life. Its pretty hard to make a living guiding hunters when the season is as short as it is, Same with the packers, they are a little better they pack game during the season and then large butt city folks that want to see some of the mountains further off the road. Most have several skills to make it thru each year.

Just figured the fuel cost from Seeley Lake MT to Alexandria VA about $300 dollars " Not Bad!!" considering that the airfare would be times 3 for the cost what ever it would be + car rental when we got there.

We really like the different places around the country to eat, One of the things on TV that I do watch with regularity is the different food shows. Triple D is a good one simple food made for us normal people, with each areas cultural addition to it. This is why the comment the Girls made about the ''lobstah' and 'chowdah'' and I really like the video of the young man talking about his lobstah he's enthusiastic about it and I like to talk to people that are like that. Andrew Zimmer's show, I don't think that I would eat some of the stuff he does but he has the one show that shows the foods around our country state to state that shows each states main claim to fame food wise.

Plus the different scenery is something that makes travel by auto better.

True, the last time I flew solo I got the green check mark TSA quick check on my ticket. That worked pretty good.

Last spring took both grandkids and wife to Orlando with a connection in Philly both ways. Was a nervous wreck. But Kudos to the Orlando TSA, they watched for families with children and would work you away from the ordinary business travelers by dropping the divider ropes long enough to cull the families into a different area. Took me a minute to figure out what they were doing and it worked really well.

We didn't mind flying to Bora Bora and then from Hawaii to home. We were in first class on a 747 leaving LAX to Bora Bora and then again some BIG XXX jet from Hawaii to LAX not many family with parents that wont stop their screaming kids from acting like animals sitting up front. I blame the parents more than the kids, parents just let them run wild thru the terminals with no concern about anyone else. One kid from Salt Lick Ut (a transfer from our regional airport) jumping around and he AND his parents were told to sit down. When the kid fell off the ticket desk counter and split his head open pretty good the parents got after the terminal people about it. Not being one to leave any doubt about my thoughts on the subject declared the Brat Kid " SAFE AT HOMEPLATE!!! " parents weren't none to happy about it but the rest of the passengers got a kick out of it :-laf

If you can find them, look for some of Marshall Dodge's recordings of his "Bert and I" stories. They're probably as close as you'll get without being there.

Its going to have to wait I have an appointment with the Dealership this AM to have a talk about some Goodyear tires that were NEVER!!! supposed to be on the car, WHY & how dangerous was it when they did that and put my family at risk? I may NEVER!! get over this. Maybe there is some kind of REIMBURSEMENT that they can make before things get out of hand and who knows.

Funny new tires have been on now and ran over the same roads as the old ones were and NO FLATS or NAILS. As thought the dealer wasn't going to pay for the new tires they had a recall and I wasn't notified for some reason. But they have made sure that our lawyer friends didn't need to start anything and that if it was all right with us that they would take care of the Caddy for as long as WE own it Free to us.
