OK, here's my dilema... ... ... .

I've got an '08 Mega, with bucket seats, and with the factory Nav System which has no back-up camera..... but with the size of the truck I need/want one.

I found a source that will modify the factory nav. system so that I can add a rear camera. The nav. system will then use its screen to give me a color back-up image so I don't run over some roller skate parked behind me... . or to just help me parallel park without doinking something.

My problem is that I have to remove the nav. system so that I can ship it to them for the mod.

How do I remove the thing without tearing-up the dash panels by doing something that isn't supposed to be done???

With the bucket seats, there seems to be a slightly different dash mounting system than with the standard split-seats with the center console. Maybe I don't even have to remove the whole center dash panel to get it out... . I don't know.....

I've got the center console between the dash and the storage compartment out, but I can't get any further. Anybody have any knowledge about what to do next to get at the nav system???

HELP!!!

That's the problem... ... the dash panels may look the same, but they seem to be attached differently.

Supposedly, there are 2 screws on the bottom of the dash panel that you can't see until after you get the console out, and I was told by Dodge that they were there, but they are not. I think the Dodge guy didn't realize that I've got buckets.

The lower front panel around the heater controls looks like it will be a bear to get out... . one screw near the glove box... . one under the panel that mounts the hood release lever... probably both lighters/power outlets... but before I go through all that trouble just to find myself on a dead-end road, I thought that I would try to get some wisdom/experience from some of the TDR people.

Thanks for the assist, but this isn't as easy as I would have hoped.

I wonder if the upper bezel around the radio/nav system can pop off without going through what I am anticipating.

I just don't want to crack it and have to buy another one.

You should be able to pop the top half of the bezel off without damaging anything. You should then be able to look down in there and see if the screws are attached.
