HI everyone... ... ... . my friend has a 96 12 valve and she needs some larry b's super starter contacts put on... ..... Where is there a good honest mechanic???????????????????????

of course we need them asap????????

Danelle, If Rick isn't available there is a Diesel shop at 2429 Fruitvale Ave. #8, Performance Truck and Diesel, owner is Lyle. 661-395-0882. I've had some work done there and was very pleased. If your friend has the smallest mechanical ability, they can change out the contacts and plunger themselves, very easy. Good luck. Mike

I think Visalia, where Rick lives, is about 70 miles North of Bakersfield.

Sorry to hear about no luck at Performance. I would of recommended Reb. B, Browns Diesel, first but it didn't sound like you wanted to travel that far. Browns Diesel is about 20 miles south of Fresno and 40 miles west of Visalia.

I've been there. Richard does amazing work and is very reasonable.

DWitcher, I've seen those trucks!

"Thread Jack"... ... ... ... . Who can cut fire rings in this area? I don't mind driving to Visalia. Thanks. Sorry Danelle :-laf

my husband with his eyes closed can cut firerings, c-rings. or orings whatever you want. . only he up here!

Riverdale I know where that is I go to Hanford a lot and ride with A barrel racer down there... She is da bomb!!!

You ride over on 17th ave. If so they used to be from Riverdale. I can cut fire rings here in Riverdale. I've had one of the BHJ tools for a while. I refuse to cut o-rings anymore though. The fire rings are soo much better. Only problem is that the head and the bloch should be surfaced prior to fire-ringing.

What is the problem with O-rings versus Fire-rings? Is there anyone closer to me that can cut O-rings?

He is right on don't bother O-ringing. Fire ringin is soo much more better.

O-ringing old technology...

Guess it depends on how much boost you plan on having, I have a single O-Ring, three years now sled pulling and see anywere from 70-95 psi reguarliy. Perhaps its the technique and the installer not the set up.
