2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need connector for factory fog lights in bumper

Looking to buy new or used factory style plug to install factory type fog lights in my front bumper. My 1995 has the lead / plug in the wiring harness but mine didn't come with any lights. I'm now cutting the plastic and adding PIAA 5104 series lights down in my front bumper. Want a clean installation so I need to find the orig plug and splice them to my new lights. Using a Bosch relay to carry the load but I don't want to hack up my factory harness to make the install.



Your help is much appreciated.

Try going to your local salvage (junk) yard & ask them if you can look for a connector.

I rewired a vehicle & found everything I needed to do a very neat job.

For a professional looking job strip, wrap & solder the connections then use shrink tubing to seal them.

If you are making multiple connections stagger the splices so the so the harness wrap will fit over it.

I think this is the kit you will need for a factory install #82204221. Found it at Mopar Parts Catalog for 98. 55 bucks.

ebay... ... use the part number in post above. I needed a blower motor resistor plug that had melted. I received the part number from my local dealer and then searched it on ebay. Price was less than half the cost plus shipping.

Given the propensity for the wiring on these trucks to be accutely undersized and problematic, I would just install a stand-alone relay harness and switch and leave the factory wiring alone.



Face it: the factory headlight wiring and switch cannot do its job without melting down and even causing fires, why would you expect the auxillary light harness to be any better?

Yep, definately using a relay and not carrying current through the light switch. I'm planning to trigger the relay with the High Beam circuit so they all come on during high beam operation. I'll be driving some Baja Mexico so I don't want to fiddle with a switch around a curve beside a cliff in a 9' wide lane at night with banditos etc... . you get the idea.
