Hi all,
Background:
I have owned 3 12v's in the past (94',97',97') I had extensive experience maintaining and modifying all of these trucks (KDP, 5th gear, gauge installs, pump/injector mods, etc.,). I am not a diesel mechanic, but my background is as licensed A&P mechanic and engineer. I sold my bullet proof 97' in 2011 to pay for graduate school - bad mistake.

Last week I had the good fortune of finding a 96' 12v with P7100 pump with only 124K miles and NO mods for a very good price! However, it has issues. The PO's did very little maintenance.

Unfortunately, I broke my back and have had 5 surgeries to repair with minor spinal cord injury effecting my right leg. So, I have a difficult time bending, lifting and twisting.

I need help installing KDP kit and figuring out an over heating problem. Radiator has been drained and flushed, but I have ordered a new fan clutch. I have the KDP kit on the way from Geno's.

I have been out of the loop for a decade and need to find a good tech/shop in the Denver/Brighton Colorado area to help me sort out/repair this barn find. I am happy to pay shop rates for help, but I do not know who to trust since I haven out of the loop for so long. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found my Ram / Cummins guru and I am willing to share him.

Max Torque: The owner Rob is a no-nonsense, former flight engineer for USAF and is phenomenal at diag, repair, and keeping me from mucking up my 2nd gen. They only service Ram /Cummins rigs.

I have used him myself years ago for several things. I always thought He did great by me. He is just too far away for me to use. I think it is still up and running he has a website similar to this but much fewer members. Dieselram.com
