Yesterday for my birthday I gave myself the PSC steering box, Borgeson shaft and Rock Solid column bushing. During the install I broke the vacuum nipple off this gizmo on the left fenderwell just aft of the fuse box. It has a single vacuum supply to a diaphragm and an electrical plug.

By the way, the steering upgrade is amazing. I’ll have to learn to drive again in a truck where steering wheel inputs result in immediate changes of direction!

Thanks! Drove it about 2 hours to visit kin, goes straight up to 100. No brake warning light, maybe that hickey was broken anyway?

Might sound like a jury rig but, remove clamp from hose, soften hose a bit or cut it just behind where the nipple (broken part) is and slice hose with a razor to remove nipple without further breaking it, clean both broke pieces with alcohol, test fit to be sure they mate perfectly, then dab "the nipple from the hose" to some super (type) glue and, keeping the nipple correctly clocked/aligned, carefully hold it to the other part until it is stuck. Since the hose provides vacuum I don't think a clamp will be required, however when reinstalling the hose on the repaired nipple first get some pretty hot water in a spray can top and soften the hose a bit, while still wet and warm "slowly" push = do not twist just push - onto the nipple and allow to cool. This has worked for me several times and as long as you don't bump the repair they've lasted. If there's pressure from the hose bend or possible potential for the hose to bounce and re-break the nipple you can figure out how to eliminate bouncing hose = wire at bend to support/reduce bouncing. For sure a Jury Rig/Shade Tree/Yankee fix and won't look pretty it'll get you by until you decide, or not, to find replacement.

Thanks for the tip. If I can't find a replacement I may resort to Performance Modification. In a similar situation I have used a 1/8" hose barb to 1/16"pipe brass fitting. Just drill and tap the diaphragm housing then warm the brass a little just before screwing it into the plastic.

edit: but then again I have no warning lights or symptoms. I may forget about it.
