Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Need Posi!

I could use some advise on which and where to buy a posi unit for my truck. Truck came without it and burnouts are boring. Please advise. Thanks. Brendan

Hey Cashin. . I put a Posi in my 97 Ram 2500 Diesel in 2003, 103 K miles ago, it has worked great for me. a couple of things though, 1/ my truck is a 2 wheel drive. 2/ you must add a slip fluid to your lube (Amsoil has it), 3/ It is a SOB getting the diff. back into place without a case spreader . I purchased the unit from Randy's Ring & Pinion.

I got rid of my peg leg with a Dana Power Loc. It has been in for about 18 months and operates very smoothly. I can now drive on wet grass without getting stuck. :-laf

Did you install it yourself? Where did you buy it from?

Don't forget your gonna have to deal with pinion depths and all those fancy measurments when you change your carriers.

Pinion depth shouldn't change, just be concerned about backlash and gear pattern.
