i have the overload leafs, and since i dont tow, and they restrict axle travel offroad, i want to take them off. i need the regular ubolts that come on the truck without the overload kit. dealer says i need a vin number of a truck that came stock with what i am looking for, so we can get the right part.

anyone have the part number for what i am looking for, or would let me run a vin so i can get one?

thanks

Go to a spring shop and have them make you some new ones. They just need to know what diamater rod you want, width of spring, round or square top, and length. I had new 9/16" one made when I put on the traction bars, 15. 5" long, set of four with washers and nuts just over $50 with tax.

Yep, don't go to the dealer for 'em, I had mine made when I ditched the overloads on my '01 2-wheel drive. As I recall they set me back only 30 bucks, which I more than got back selling the overloads along with the original U-bolts.

I checked the price at the dealer for my 94 and they were ~$30 each.

(oh and I could have new nuts for $6 each) :--)
