I suppose it,s time to post an update on my 2003 Ford 6. 0 P. S. D work truck now that it has 11,000 miles on it. A brief review for those that are reading my reports for the first time. The truck is an F350 4x4 super cab,cab and chassis with a Knapheide utility body and 3:73 gears. Everyday weight is 10,000 lbs even. No new problems have cropped up,it is still plagued with a very rough idle and no I mean no power below 1,800 rpm. I should have mentioned this truck is a six speed manual transmission. Above 2,000 rpm it has excellent power and is very quiet. The only thing I hear at 75 mph is the noise from the Toyo snow tires. Mileage is holding very steady at 17mpg at 75 mph which is 95% of my driving. I am holding off on addressing the low power problem until I'm convinced they have the the final fix. I hope it occurs before the snow flies because I don't want to have to slip the clutch to get moving in a low traction situation. By the way my son and daughter in law are expecting a baby so they just bought an 03 6. 0 psd crew cab with the Torqueshift auto transmission. Their truck is flawless and goes like stink so a good one seems to be good one. As an aside I just got back from towing six horses to Portland with my 01 H/O. I would not trade my truck for a brand new anything!
