I am planning to order a 2014 Ram 3500 at the end of the year. I have been reading most everything about the new trucks that I can find. I have decided to get a Crew Cab, 4x4, 6. 7l Cummins, Aisin Transmission, 4. 10, and some of the extras too.

The thing I have not been able to find out, does the new 11. 5 inch rear axle come with a limited slip?

The information I have found doesn’t really explain if that is an option or not, maybe I just haven’t found the right info yet.

Thanks for any help or source that clears it up.

I can't remember where I saw it but all 3500 '13's were limited slip.
Are you sure you want 4. 10's? The new motor is happier spinning slower than the old one was. Unless you're towing REALLY heavy all the time, 4. 10's will most likely just be a waste of fuel.

I would agree, with the ? of 4. 10 gears. My new truck has the 3:42 and so far I would not change a thing. I am only at 25,500 Combined weight but in the big mountain passes the truck works really good for me.

Hey Gonzo, what do you think of your Kelderman? I had a Firestone 4tec full air rear on my GMC and wasn't all that happy.

Thinking about a full front and rear setup for the 13 ram.

Under Standard Equipment for your CC 4x4 LB Aisin the order form it is listed as standard and the code is
ANTI-SPIN DIFFERENTIAL REAR AXLE (DSA) and the 11. 50 REAR AXLE (DRQ),
PAGE: 40
2014 3500 CREW CAB 4X4 form.

The Kelderman has been a good addition to the 04 truck. It is a well designed system, there are several quirks to air ride that take a bit of adjustment. On some expansion cracks with the loaded GN trailer there is a bit of squirm when the panhard bar centers the rear under compression. Other than that it works great.
