I kind of in the market again for a truck but with crazy prices recently I’ve been waiting for a deal.
Dealer in So Cal is giving some great deals.
I’m working a deal on a 23 3500 Bighorn, Aisin, 4x4 CC Lb. MSRP is $74,975 and after rebates I can get it for $51,983.
Because I moved my residence to Missouri I have to take possession out of Cal to avoid paying sales tax. They want $1k to ship it to my brothers house in Phoenix.
I haven’t been keeping up recently but are there any issues to be concerned with on the new trucks?
Anyone looking for a DRW, they have over 20 trucks from $17k-$23k off MSRP at Huntington Beach Ram.

That’s a heck of a deal, I’d take it.

What’s the build date? Very early 23’s might have the Aisin issue that later ‘22’s had. Not a show stopper, but something to be aware of.

Update.
They want $4500 for “dealer installed options”
GPS, paint protection, window etching and a chemical they spray in the vents to prevent COVID!!
What a bunch of BS. I told them that’s a lot for some snake oil.
Salesman is talking to the Boss to remove that.

Yeah, that’s where they get you. Tell them the truck comes with a N95 cabin air filter, so nothing else is needed :p

I declined some of the dealer install stuff the day I ordered my 22. I even reminded them not to install it, but they still did. They ended up not charging me for it and didn’t remove the hardware, goes to show it’s a massive markup.

You are too kind. Instead of "massive markup" I probably would have used the word "scam."

I think they all / try it..

The dealer I bought mine from here in NC also has a wide array of trucks that are 7~12k off.. I could by the same deal I got 3y ago again now, however the MSRP is quite higher not on the same truck.

Around here we used to call this part of the sales pitch that the "Rust and Dust" salesperson would try to get you on!
I used to write the PO's for these services and they were nowhere close to the sales price!! I think they would all be better served waiting to see what the customer might want versus just loading them up!

I recommend getting your new truck Krowned if you will be traveling any place there might be salt on the roadways.

Don't be taken for the dealer "installed options".

I wish that dealers would promote the TDR more when buying a Cummins. This is a great place to be! (Wish I would've joined back when I bought my first Cummins back in 2002!)
