New car purchase & question about cash incentives

I am looking to purchase a new car and the Mfgr (not the dealer) is giving a 3000. 00 cash incentive. My question is, if I negotiate a deal to buy an remaining 07 car at 100. 00 over invoice does that mean the dealer is still getting 3000. 00 off of invoice since it is the Mfgr giving the cash incentive.

I would verify but you should get the factory incentives, but what they will do is allow you the $3000. 00 off after you pay the sales tax so in Indiana instead of getting $3000. 00 off I got $2820. 00 off. Mike

What the dealer said they did to get down to the negotiated price is took 3000. 00 plus a few other things off sticker to get to the negotiated price of 100. 00 over invoice

I am wondering if the dealer actually gets the 3000. 00 of factory inv cause if they do I am going to negotiate even lower.
