Those are nice. I have an older set also. Always wished they had the turn signals. May need to sell them and get the new version. :)

Looks like they may extend out farther out than the other style also.

Kinda looks like a... ..... well you know which truck type it looks like, but I always wanted a pair like that so I guess now it's possible. Going to try these out.

i have the old set and they are much better than the 97 oem but they vibrate badly. they look good though. wish they had turn signals and leds

I also have the older set. These look like the ones on the power puke I drive at work. Fords version s**k. Maybe these are better. I think I will stay with the original. I do not want to be mistaken for a Ford:D

Man I really like the look of these new Cipa's;)

I have the original style and just got the kit to fix the vibration in the passenger mirror. I can live without the chrome cap and turn signal, I really like the height of the mirror with the lower convex for blind spots.

May just have to sell my originals and get me a set of the new ones:D

Any one know if they extend out further than the originals or whether they fold FLAT against the door??

Buff, according to the website listed above they do fold flat against the window. Not sure about the total extension though. :)

Thats definately a plus over the originals, they are to big to fit into the pockets of my Noah truck cover and don't fold flat enough to let the cover slip over them and hang right on the truck:mad:

The website lists the old style as 13" extension and the new style at 17 1/4".

Comparison

according to this comparison the orignal mirrors were supposed to fold flat against the window... . they do not:mad:

They fold in about as far as the middle postion in the three fold comparison.

17 1/4" extensions would be great, I could darn near see the ladder on the back of my fiver:p

A little more coaxing and I'll be buying a set of these to replace my originals.

Would like to hear from anyone who has replaced their originals with the new versions.

Mine are on the way.

Been waiting for a mirror that looks that nice for 5 years now. I just hope they don't vibrate like the OEM Dodge tow mirrors. :(

Keep us posted.

Those that have ordered these, please give us an update after install and "living" with them a few days. I like the look, but don't want the vibration that some of these aftermarket mirrors have sometimes.

I'll say one thing the company is fast.

My order went out this morning after placing it at 2:00AM on the same morning. That was even with me emailing them to change the order to the lighted version. :) So far I'm pleased and I haven't even got the things yet. ;)

Definitely report back if they vibrate. I have the old style and they shake more than a dog $hittin' nail. :D I refuse to give these guys anymore of my money unless they fixed this from the factory... one shouldn't have to shim their brand new towing mirrors to get them to work right.

Mike

Strike one guys. :(

Both the lenses for the marker lights where broke when I opened the box. They aren't packaged very well at all, just one layer of bubble rap and a box with in a box is all they do. Anyone that ships anything UPS knows better than that. I sent them an email back so we'll have to wait till Monday to see what they do about the broken lenses.

On the up side I do like the mirrors, they look like they will be really nice once I can get then mounted. They come with the plug to plug right into the OEM plug. The only wiring that needs to be done is for the marker and turn signals.

I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on the progress of the situation once I get some feedback on the busted lenses.

Do you have the old Cipa mirrors on the truck now? If so, can you get a old/new length comparison? I know the specs show that they extend further, but I'd like to hear first hand. My Cipa mirrors are pretty good for my 102" wide trailer, but an extra couple of inches would be outstanding... and my justification to the wife why I need to spend $400. :D

Mike

I have the factory sport mirrors on mine now but the new Cipa's head sticks out past the sport mirrors with out even extending it. Extending the mirror will gain about 3" it apears.

I'll take some messurements in the AM and get back to ya on the overall length from the door.
