I gave the new mirrors a try, but sending them back next week. Here was my experience.
1) passenger side reflector cracked from shipping. Very little bubble wrap used.
2) Color code wiring in directions incorrect. There was no yellow wire on new mirrors, was white. Had the blue and red as called out. So pinned the connector as in the directions with this change. Mirrors moved in every direction except the one wanted. Had to get out my service manual to figure it all out and it turns out that all 3 pins (1-3) were incorrect as far as the printed connector position. This was on both mirrors. Not sure if the trucks wiring was at fault on this one, but got it figured out anyway.
3) Did the 1/4" shim on passenger side mirror on front stud. Still could not see rear of truck unless I leaned back in the seat. Could at best see a 1/4 of the lane I was in. When backing in tight spots, I like to be able to dial my mirrors to where I can see my tires. Impossible here.
4) That passenger mirror as mentioned by someone looks like a fun house mirror. Not sure if it was due to the extreme turned in angle needed for usage.
5) Plastic arm covers had zero clearance between fixed mount of mirror. Already chipped plastic from the drivers side during folding test. Passenger side the same and plastic is wedged and would break off if mirror was to be folded.
Had no issue with getting an RGA# from vision view and hopefully the same with getting the credit. I figured I could live with a couple of the glitches and modifications, but the rest of it all was too much.
On to another mirror solution.
