I deleted the other short thread on this subject because it was confusing and it wasn't to the point.
My truck has 5500 miles and it runs perfectly - strong and 18 plus mpg (empty).
After startup and ten or so miles the gauges go dead (all except the speedometer). After a couple more miles all the gauges come to life and the 'engine' light comes on. It runs fine and doesn't miss a beat. If I cycle the ignition 3 times the odometer reads "P PCU" and the 'engine' light goes off. After awhile it will do this all over again.

I fear the dreaded dealership re-flash of the ECM. I don't want to lose performance or mpg. Thanks in advance. Joe
