Guys, idea here.
Would it benefit me to remove my grid heaters and intake horn... . then install a unit from an industrial application w/out the grid heat? These other horns are much bigger,have the same bolt pattern from what I can tell and have no grid heaters. Increased air flow due to less restriction at the horn's 90° bend is my idea.
I don'r drive this rig much at all in the cold and never during the winter so the grid heat being in-op will not be an issue. Besides, all my 12 valve bus engines do not have grid heaters and they are used all through the winter.
Whadda you think? Do it or have my horn polished and keep the grids
