Did you buy a new rubicon Warren?? My family is into the jeep bug again. 2 of my uncles just bought new rubicons (one silver, the other is khaki) and my dad just bought ANOTHER jeep (04 TJ). so now there are more jeeps again in the family than there are dodge trucks.

No, i didn't buy a rubicon. My buddy did though. Then he lifted it right away and put 33s on it. I am impressed with how well they work. Feels a lot more stable than mine too. A lifted CJ-5 on the rocks at Moab is a major pucker factor.



I can't believe the trouble your friend had at Auge's. too bad they didn't treat him better. Word of mouth advertising sells lots of vehicles.

oh yeah, as for LOtero on the way to work. Man you were driving like a grandma!! I was right beside you in my POS commuter car. It was congested and I figured any second you were gonna change lanes on top of me and haul ***! I must be sick because whenever i drive next to a diesel with exhaust mods, I roll the window down so I can hear it better. Loud my @$$! That's music baby!

speaking of that, I was at bobs burgers last tuesday. I got out of my truck and heard this sick high pitched whistle goin on somewhere towards the road. I looked around, no street-sweepers in sight. hmm, must be a turbo on something.

sure enough, there was a new 6. 0 PSD, 5" straight pipe running in the parking lot (just sitting there running) and it was so freekin loud I couldnt believe it. It made more noise at idle than mine does at 35+ psi in the cab with the scotty II!!!!

I almost wet my pants when I heard it.

Was it a Bronze sort of color? There is one on base that is like that. I think he has hood scoops also. He sounds like he is ready for takeoff everytime I've seen him and he was barely moving.

i dunno, maybe its just me but i really dig the way those 6. 0s sound. truthfully i would like an in between of the 6. 0 turbo whistle and the cummins sweetness! as far as i know i think i am pretty much tapped out when it comes to turbo whistle on my rig. as for the bronze 6. 0, that is a guy from our electro/enviro (spark chasers/air conditioning) section over here, and yea that thing sounds like our GE 110s! what kind of sound difference did you notice with your bull haulers Dhayden? are you straight piped?

Nah, it was dark dark silver. It didnt have any hood scoops. It had 305 good year MT/R's, though. and a "monitor" on the dash. couldnt tell if it was the attitude monitor or not, windows were to dark.



Hey Luis, did you end up with the AFE scotty or the UNI scotty?? On my UNI scotty, if i take it out of the shroud, and pull the outer element off, its pretty dang loud. MUCHO louder outside than when its ducted to the cowl.....



Hey Dean, what happened to Kurt from mild to wild??? I've been emailing him with no responses (my cousin *thinks* he wants a KSB-1..... )

About the silver ford

luis is it our best buddy with the ford that was at conchas, standing next to that trucks tailpipe you would think he had a jet motor under his hood.

Yes I am straight piped, the over all tune of the exhaust deepend and the turbo whistle is more noticeable at idle then before. It isnt to much louder in cab when cruising but you do notice a difference with the window down and a big difference if I open the moon roof :-laf . It rattles a city block if I W. O. T.



Jeff I don't know what happened to Kurt. His phone doesnt work and someone posted that their relatives in silver city said his shop has'nt been open in a while so I'm assuming he closed up shop. I can't imagine there being allot of customer's in a town as small as Silver City that required the services he offered.

I'm from Silver; even though I'm not there right now and I'm pretty sure that that guys shop is closed. He has the white truck with mitre cut stacks? "right"? I guess I'll be the only stacked diesel in Silver when I get there on the 18th... DHayden, I'll be rollong through your part of the state hopefully the evening of the 18th. I'm leaving here "NC" on the 16th... I can't freakin wait, there's no place like home and there's no Mexican Food like New Mexico's!!!!!

I bet you'll be glad to be home CHolman. My cousin just moved to NC about 8 months ago because of "work", and she is already home sick. She says she feels closterphobic since she cant ever see anything but trees!!!!

well, now that we have 3 southern new mexico TDR'ers, maybe its time for a meet in the southern part of the state?? I know you guys dont have a Beas, but you do have a bobs burgers!!!!

Your sister hit the nail right on the head... It also seems like it rains here 4 to 5 days a week; atleast here in Havelock. The himidity sucks! I just can't wait to get back and get some good flavored chili, not the canned crap from Wal Mart. I'm only going to be home for three weeks because that's all Uncle Sam would give me off, but I only have a year after I get back and I'll be back in New Mexico... I was in San Diego for 5 years and will be here for 2 years and enough's enough. It will be time for the Forrest Service or the postal service. I don't care as long as I'm home

Yeah, there was a white 2500 Cummins that was stacked in Silver, but you couldn't hear it like you can mine. Here laetly in the cool moist night air I can damn near break window's. You feel the sound in your chest with the four window's and the rear slinding window open...

I doubt he would even take you at first. he says it wont pull his 5th wheel 75mph up the hills between LC and the butte. sounds like he needs a plate. and injectors. and a turbo or two.
