just got some new skins, 285/70-17 E, so far so good, nice ride. already had it thru the ditch and mud to pull a ladys van out, did not miss a beat. running 70 up front and 60 in the rear, after two wks i will see how they wear and adjust from there, will keep yea posted. i know some people have had bad expericenes with wear, but had a few freinds with ferds and they seem to get good wear from them.

Good luck with them:-laf

I'm one of the ones that has had the bad experiences with them. Keep us updated. It'll be interesting to see how they work for you.

I've got 50k on mine right now and they've easily got another 10 - 20k left in them.

I'm running the stock size, but when I replace them I'm thinking of going to the 285s. I will definitely buy the Nittos again.

check, will keep posted, was running 65psi all around, dropped to 50 all around, due to no wear on the corner tire nipples. seem to have worn them down now.

Have had 295x70x17 for the last year. 25000 miles, tires hardly showing any wear. They see a lot of highway miles. Work very well on ice and snow. I will buy another set when needed.

no, i have a set for playing around and i got carried away, with the 285s in fifth gear with a fifty mph roll they will easily break loose, i took a gasser fan for a ride when he dissed on the diesel guys, he is now a believer, he says ( my gto doesnt run this good), his hat and sunglasses were in the back seat after some drifting lessons in a lifted truck lol

just a word on the tires, rotated at around 3000 and took a trip to nc and tn for a week, coming home started pulling left only when braking, left front was 8psi lower than the right, equaled them out, no more pulling trackin straight..... wearing great... ... .

Mine lasted until 55K, when I blew out the left rear.

I don't know what I hit or how I did it, but it had to be something substantial. It put one hell of a ding in my Dee Zee diamond-plate aluminum mud flap.

Oh well, I wanted to replace them before the really stormy weather got here.

I put the same tires on again, in the stock size. I love 'em. :)

I've got a set of 295 Terra Graplers with 48K miles on them and they are still doing good. I'm putting Nitto Dura's on the truck this week 'cause I have no intention of going anywhere there is snow! If it gets cold enough to use the heater in the trailer this year, my wife has already ordered the move further south! As far as the Nitto's go, I've had them to both the '01 and the '06 and have been very happy with them. Even towed a big rig out of the mud at a train wreck with the '01

I found 60 psi in the rear was too much. The center tread was wearing faster than the front wheels.

Running 65 psi front and 50-55 psi rear.
