I have a 95 with 68000 showing and am thinking about replacing the shocks. This truck is used for towing a 5th wheel RV hitch about 1500 and also for a slide in truck camper with weight of about 1900 lbs. I am looking at Rancho RSX premium self-adjusting shock but am open to suggestions on other brands. 95% of miles is with one of these campers so I figure it is about time.

I'm looking for the same advice. Need new shocks for the '99 2500 CTD. Need something adjustable, because I drive back and forth to work, and frequently tow a 10,000 # 5th wheel. Is Ranch the best? Which one?

Do a search of my name. Ive written about it pretty extensivly under a camper post or a shock post?

Basicly the Ranchos are great when new because of the adjustability. After 8 months and 6k miles with a camper the rear ones are blown. There isn't any compression dampening on 2 and the rebound is starting to fade on 1. They'll be warrantied under ranchos lifetime warrantee.

If you would like the new warranteed ranchos I would be happy to sell them. I need a reason to get off my tuff and get them back to rancho.

Im now running Sway a Ways and started a buisness doing it. You can check out my site for the different models of SAW's we carry.
