Hard to tell if serious????
You adjust it...... by hand.

Not the actual movement "adjustment".. but the location in which the blind spot isn't HORRIBLE and they are better than 3rd gen mirrors. No amount of movement has found that spot for me.

I *think* what John meant was he's been unable to fine-tune his mirrors in the position that I described. It does take a tad bit of trial and error......and having access to a 3-lane interstate (adjust for your vehicle being in the center lane) really fine tunes it (at least for me.)

I just discovered the outside mirrors manually adjust this afternoon. It was a total face palm moment. With them adjusted now, I can see the 8' box just fine. I like em'.

Hey enjoy to new ride! Did you get the 8.4 or 8.4 with Nav? Snoking

Mine just has the standard 8.4 Sno. I'm the kind that still prefers looking ahead on a map before I take off to any unknown places. Now when I'm deer hunting, I wouldn't leave without my Garmin. I got turned around one afternoon that turned into night and I was by-myself . No cell reception, nothing. That won't happen again.

Hey, I'm liking that Aisin transmission too. I reached for the shifter again today. I'm sure that habit will go away after a while.

Yeah, I had a cousin that got lost in a remote area on Eastern Washington and spent the night out there. He said it was not a pleasant experience. Does you new ride have the front bench seat or buckets? Power folding mirrors? We really like our 2015, even if we had to sell the boat to buy it. With no visable means of support, we did not want payments! Snoking

Our's has the bench. After years of having to shift between someone's legs, I told myself that I wanted as much room as possible if we bought an auto transmission. Autumn, my lil girl thought the power folding mirrors were pretty cool. Don't know that I'll ever use them. We weren't able to buy ours outright, but within a short time, I'll write the last payment before too long. We bought a new Durango last year for the wife, and our eldest started college at the same time. I'm stretching my dollars as far as they'll stretch at this point without taking money from long term investments.

We fold the mirrors in when parking in a tight parking lot sometimes. You might use them more than you think. "Buy outright!!!" All our money is under professional management, so we live on a monthly budget similar to working people. We can have and do things that fit in that budget! Nothing ever stays on credit cards. We now want a little newer and slightly larger 5th wheel. This one has only two slides on drivers side. We will see how that works out! Even with the 3500 we will have to watch our pin weight and/or quit bringing so much stuff! Nearly maxed the rear axle on the way down to Arizona.

SNOKING

Any particular reason you didn't give the 3500 DRW a look??? You've only had the 3500 SRW a little over 4 months.....

Yes, it would not fit in garage and I did not want a dually as a daily driver! Would rather live with a small trailer or bigger truck! SNOKING

Holly cr@p, I went to the dump in the new truck. empty weight coming out was 8220. Given that I weight in at around 225 and had a few pounds of plastic cans in the bed the truck weighs almost 8K. Fuel tank was full. The 2001.5 weighs around 7K coming out of the dump with me in it. So new one is about 1200 more. Snoking

Mine came in at 8900!!

Sir
Your signature says:

How did you get a long bed, were you able to specialorder it, or did you order a 2015 3500 Cab& Chassis?
EXACTLY! The only long bed on our two dealerships lots was a tradesman... All the rest, out of hundreds were short bed trucks! WHY WOULD RAM MAKE A HEAVY DUTY TRUCK IN SHORTBED? I don't get it... Does it have to do with needing a Cdl on long bed duallys with 4:10s? Something about gvwr and gvwr......

Why not have a HD with a short bed? That's what I wanted and that's what I bought. I don't haul a lot of cargo, but I pull a fifth wheel.

Because you need a special hitch. Weight ratings are reduced on mega cabs.I like the short bed don't get me wrong. But like I said, I wanted really a long bed dually,,,, however, there was not a single one. Nowhere! My mega cab has a higher gvwr than my 04 dually quad cab. But the mega cab weighs nearly 1000 lbs more than the old dually. We have a large 5th wheel. I just did not want to be concerned with weight again...

So? I bought one, no problem.

So it is ridiculous that Ram makes an HD shortbed because YOU need a long bed? Am I missing something in the equation here? Or are you just saying you the fact that you can't get a mega-cab, long bed dually is ridiculous?
