Has anyone seen these yet. I saw these on the back cover of the new Diesel Power mag. They kind of resemble the Toyo A/T. It said they will be available in E rated with 2 different sidewall designs, so I guess they aren't out yet.

my "terra"s are 285/75/16E and were $170 a pop (no pun intended) installed.
you'll find the "DURA"s in a different thread.

I've been gazing at those Dura Grapplers my self. gonna have ta cut a deal with santa clause... wait on the pyro gauge from optix... :{

I just got a set put on today. $215. 00 mounted and balanced. They are in 285/70/17, so a little bit bigger than the stock 265 tire. I have them inflated to 65psi (max is 80) and they ride incredibly well - significantly better than the OEM BF Goodrich tires that I had before.

They are not as aggressive looking as the Terra Grappler, but they look pretty good anyway, and the ride really is quiet. They have a tread that runs uninterupted all the way around the tire, so they should wear well and be very smooth and quiet.

I also got an additional 600 pounds per tire (from 3140 to 3750) over the stock tires. At a total of 1,200 pounds, that's significant with a big fifth wheel...

35" Dura Grappler?

I e-mailed them and asked about the future availability of a 35" tire in this style and they replied that they are considering it.

It use to be that if the last rib on the outer edge did not have a path for water to exit the sides it was highway only.

Since it has an MS rating I might even consider this one, we need the MS in snow conditions or the highway patrol will make you chain up a 4x4

well I just ordered a set today from my local 4x4 shop at 200 a pop, I was on the fenc between the stock michilen and these so i hope they do for me, guess i'll find out

Back to the top on this Dura grappler-

Hey MA2LA and grabinov or anyone else that has em. . How are you liking the Nitto Dura Grappler?

I am thinking about the 285's. They look like the tread is tapered so they won't grab small rocks, is that right?

Did you get the traditional or innovative side wall?

I ran the Toyo Open Country for 30K and was happy with traction & noise but they tended to pick up small rocks easily. I also ran the Dick Cepek FCII for 34K and they are more noisy than the Toyo's were but dang, I can't wear em out! They are only 1/2 worn and ridding a little rough. Wet traction I don't think was as good as the Toyo's
