Here's the deal... a friend has a 2001 5 spd with a banks powerpack... . this truck used to pull like a spotted ape, but now it has nothing. . I could outrun him with a #11 plate and nothing else. Since its a Banks, I am thinking it may be the fueling box... . It just runs like a slug... EGT's are normal, but it does not get over 20 lbs boost. . Contact him, as he can tell y'all a little more than I can. His Email is His Email... .

He has, and they told him tough... they have POOR customer service, and that's the bottom line. I was at his house on one occasion when he called, and I was shocked at how they are. I thought vendors are supposed to stand by their product, but I guess I was wrong thinking that.

The only person that I know that had a Banks kit had the fueling box (otto-mind or something like that) go bad. I'm not sure how common this is though.

Chris,, Sounds like Jason's problem is the "Box" went bad,,, must be time for a COMP.

Stock EGT, Stock Boost, Stock Performance,,, Sounds like the box went bad, and he's getting stock fueling.

Check Engine Light?

When My MAP sensor goes on the fritz,, even with Drug Pusher injectors, and a Drag COMP set on Kill,, I still can only get 15 Pounds of boost.

P. S. Usually when a Box goes bad, or a sensor goes out the check engine light comes on.

Does the light come on when he first turns the key on, (When all the lights are testing themselves?) If not, then the bulb could be removed. HTH

no power

i had the same problem with my truck. i thought that my box was bad but when i was taking it out to send back i found that the ground line that is attached the the fuel filter bracket had come lose. another thing that you can do is look on the the back of the box. there are two LED lights one green and one red. when the key is one the red light should be on when they truck it on it should be green. when you start to add more fuel to the engine it should go back to the red. if not the box is bad.

Hope this helps
