I was on the job site a few days ago and a ceiling hanger dude asked if the white reg cab in the parking lot was mine... he saw/heard me pull up from lunch... I said yes it was mine... he asked how liked it... i told him that i love it... he asked how much i payed for it... i told him, his jaw dropped... then he said man, i got screwed... the conversation went on... he asked if i had the allison transmission... i snickered and said no, I have the six speed... he said is it an allison?... i said no it's a manual

he went on about how he was gonna get a Banks powerpack and how the Banks system doubles the output and doesn't void your warranty because Banks has a deal worked out with Daimler-Chrysler. I didn't wanna rain on his parade but I did tell him he might want to do something with the auto transmission... ie TC & VB and he said that his allison could take it... . I gave up

Poor guy, how did he get the idea that Banks has "a deal" with DC??????????????????????? Very Interesting.

Haven't you heard... Everyone's an expert on everything...



After many years of dealing with people of all walks of life... A few things appear evident. People have a great desire to feel important. People are more concerned with themselves... than anything you have to say. Hence people love to hear themselves brag or talk about what they know.



So chances are, if Mr. Doe doesn't have gauges... . He'll tell ya they aren't needed. Otherwise... . that would mean "HE" is missing something... Can't have that... . now can we!!



If someone gets on a rampage with me, I tell em, Hey, if you want to pay for my truck... . I'll do what ever you want. . Till then, I do what I want... OK.



A little tip, if ya see em come'n... Politely say excuse me... and act like your too busy to talk. Works everytime. . Frustrates the heck out of em... cause your confident... . and don't have time to stand there and argue with em, nor are you interested in anything they have to say

Starting to sound like the guy I'm forced to work for. The dude just got a 2001 FOrd F-350(shows how bright he is) Anyways, the week after he got it he had a 70hp ship installled. All of a sudden his truck has the ability to go 140mph. I guess them thar chips change the gear ratio too. I don't even try to expalin thing to this guy, I'd be there all day. I've already tried to explain to him that Ford does not own Cummins. I finally had to pull up the Cummins website and show him.



That's what we're here for fellas. we're just a bunch of teachers for the non-TDR members. And just like a school teacher, "just just can't teach some people"

Here we have been bad mouthing the Durawhatever, when that's not even the engine that GMC, and Chevy are using. To think they finally got smart, and started putting Cummins' in those trucks, and with Allison trannys!



I don't think I would buy that truck anyways even if i did like the Powerstroke. There is just somthing funny about the Carfax report. Boy it is a clean truck for being so old.

man what did i miss. scince when has chevy had a cummins. that guy is really blowing smoke. i am still new to this diesel truck deal but i know beter than to beleave that. even if chevy did have a cummins in it i still wouldnt buy one.



i had a guy tell me i could get better mileage,life,towing out of a gas than a diesel. o did i tell u it was a dealer. i really wonder about people.
