but why on tst but not bully dog bully dog runs outstanding!! have to do headstud , trans. and water first will the studs go in easy can i just do one at a time or do i have to take the head off ?

Brian you dont HAVE to tap them its just better.
and yes you can put them in one at a time thats no problem

I really did it today. I was fooling around with a BMW today on the interstate.

I had my foot to the floorboard with the box on KILL. And POW !!



That was the end of fifth gear. This rebuild lasted me a little over a year. I guess the heavy hauling didn't help anything. And the extra torque.

And I just had the transmission down two weeks ago for the clutch job.



There's a bright side to everything I guess. I didn't get stranded. And I was able to reach Dan at Quad 4x4 before he closed shop. I overnighted the new stuff.



All in the name of the loud pedal ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Troy- did your parts arrive? Are you fixing it this weekend?



- just got my truck mod's done , new phat 62 turbo, 191 dv's, AFC, 370

injectors, and timing to 14. Very much faster, smoke on demand. Not

quite use to it yet. Have really trashed a few motorists cause I still drive

it like I use to. They have waved quite non politely at me with a single

finger. Boy I didn't know I would enjoy it so much. :-laf

UPS came through. If it doesn't rain I'll have it done this weekend. Provided I don't need any more parts.

I had one guy that kept tailgating me. I gave him a little smoke. He kept at it.

So after slowing down for a turn, I just laid into it with no boost. Out of the cloud of smoke in front of his car, I could see his arm sticking out of his window.

He was giving me the thumb down. He was clueless.

You'd better take a break from changing all these parts. I don't want you burned out when I finally get around to calling Doug for my SPS 62 and Mach 4's... .

MIchael- So far on level ground 1100 tops. Runs around 475-575 at 75mph on

the turnpike which we all know is not level. Think the new turbo is

doing it's job well. But I'm still looking out the side mirror trying to get

a handle on the smoke versus my foot. Have not spanked it yet,

wanted to break the turbo in. It's coming sooooon,though!!!!!!!

500 miles to break in a turbo, thats what i did just because i have the worst luck:-laf

So what made you go with only 14 degrees?? i think you might like 16 better

I got my truck back on the road yesterday Oo. And of course i couldnt just put it back together without doing some more bombs so i bumped the timeing to 20 and got 5-18's injectors WOW does it run now!!!!!!!!!!

Michael- I must have the same luck as you. 500 miles will take me awhile since

am only driving my truck on the weekend. Will have to have a get

together or road trip so I get some miles. Went with 14 for now, small

pump, was timed at 12. 5 and I need studs and o ring my head. Don't

want to risk the head gasket at this time. But 16 is in the future.

Will this even end :-laf :-laf ? I hope not .



Sounds like your truck is hooked up. All it takes is time and a whole

lot of cash. It's great . Can't wait to go for a ride. .
