Well I am getting to a point where the power bug is hitting me. . Here is what I have currently and what I am thinking what do you guys think... .

I have POD's , timing advanced, 16cm housing H1C, 4" straight pipe exhaust, rebuilt Getrag, new drive shaft, Rebuilt dana 70... ... I am getting about 30lbs of boost, and it is running real good...

I have a few small things I need to do to it I have a small leak on the injection pump and I really need a govenor spring. I figure if I am going to take the pump off I might want to upgrade to one of the 14cm heads that are out there (thanks Smokey, Stomp, and KTA) . I will also need another turbo soon. Waiting to see how bgilbert turns out with his new turbo to see how that works...

So what do you guys think so far about the new pump heads and a single turbo.

I really dont want to drag race just supprize a few ford and chevy owners...

Also even with good parts I assume there is a point where you start breaking stuff in the drive line. . Eventually I will start looking for a clutch, trans and a dana 80... but for now I will use what I have till it breaks.....

The 14mm pump head works just fine with a hx35 equipped truck. You've got time/ more to do before you go with the pump head. For now pull the pump's top, fix your leak, grind off the afc foot/lever, and install a 3200 gov spring. Grind your afc pin if you haven't done so already too.

Then get a turbo bigger than a hx35. Member 'glhs' has a HTB2 with 62 wheel and 14cm housing, he's made good power with that setup, with stock pump head. I would say that Schwitzer based turbo is a wiser buy than a hx40. Member 'zstroken' is a HTT turbo dealer, great prices, I would get a price from him, he can do better than their advertized price.

The bug never ends. You get a fix for awhile, but you'll eventually want more:D!

Do the above mentioned mods to the internals, then if that dont work ,crank some more on the fuel acrew. Mine is all stock internals (so far as I know, dont think a team roper would have been this into hot rodding, though this former bull rider is), 120-125cc flow, and I am pegging a 40psi gauge with the stuff in my signature, and the AFC near the top- EGTs rise slower, and with fuel prices like they are..... Granted, I lack an intercooler, so you might subtract 3-5psi from my peak if I did.

I was just wondering should I be seeing more than 30psi with a H1C with a 16cm housing... ...

Any more and it will just be hot air. You're out of the stock H1C's map/effiency range at or above 30psi. Check your throttle travel at the pump with foot pedal on the floor, check for boost leaks, alway check the little stuff before going to $$ stuff.

But yes you can see a ton more of psi with that combo. Not good though.

I drove my truck around the block today with no exhaust, just the cast elbow :-laf :-laf , surprisingly it was quieter than with my stacks  . Got a 4" kit with muffler  ordered so I should be able to put some miles on this turbo in a few weeks. Figured I've never driven with one with a muffler, so maybe it might make the truck more enjoyable, and actually get to hear the engine and turbo.
