I am in Houston Texas. I live in a condominium in downtown Houston at this time. This is only temporary, I plan on buying a house by the summer.

I would say remember the 4500 was designed for less than 500 lbs of torque. I think any over that, and we're pushing our luck anyway. I'm not sure the 5600 is that much better. Still that's probably what I'll go to next.

the NV4500 is rated for 450 lb/ft. its a conservative rating, even dodge went over their rating with the 460lb/ft 24V.

the 5600 is rated at 600lb/ft from NVG.

I think the life/strength of the transmission all depends on how you use it. Joe D made 800hp with his 4500, with the 1-1/4" input shaft to boot. but he did not race it either.

I've known people with 215hp trucks with just #10 plates that have broken the input by shifting hard. I've barked my tires pretty good a lot in 3rd, but so far, so good. no problems yet (knock on wood... ).

Here's the deal with the pics. I had a dirt cheap digital cam. It worked o. k. with my old computer. Now I have a new computer with a new O. S. and the camera/software isn't compatible with XP.

So I was going to use a camera that I borrowed. That one works great with the computer but it won't take good close-ups. .

I have access to a third cam that takes great pics and works with my 'puter but the broken parts are sitting in the bed of my truck which is in another state.

So, either I get some pics posted in a week or so... or you can see them at the Petro's Meet -n- Greet. I will leave them on my tailgate and people can check them out during the day.
