As mentioned above, I use it in my ranch trucks, and anything that I install in my shop. I've been using it for 7 years, IIRC, and have noticed the transmissions seem to run cooler. I've got one of mine that formerly had a temp guage, and two of my customers. We've all seen 25-50* lower running temps when loaded. Mostly, I have NV4500s, but I do have 2 NV5600s in my fleet, plus those I've installed and service regularly. I put my customers on a 25k or 50k oil change interval, depending on what they do. The guys that tow quite a bit, or have a lot of power upgrades, get the lower mileage service. The oil may or not be changed, depending on it's color and content once recovered. On a fresh rebuild, there is always a nasty drain the first time. I believe the assembly grease comes out with the oil, and it's just plain nasty.... I'll change mine at 10k, if I can. The second may or may not be nasty, and then the third is usually pretty clean. So far, I've only had two Blumenthal trannys fail, and both were not the transmission's fault. The first NV4500 had the bearings melted to the input shaft..... Considering the truck made about 45psi boost, and was pulling a three horse trailer, I don't think that was the transmission's fault. The second NV4500 was mine, and that truck made even more boost, so when the main shaft bearing went, it was no surprise. As for NV 5600s, the only failures I've seen were from a local rebuilder..... and they wouldn't stand behind them, so I won't do business with them anymore, if I can avoid it.
