Nv5600 reverse

Rebuild my nv5600 because the reverse want out started to grind and wouldn't go in gear. Rebuild it now it goes into gear but don't move just a lite sound like something is turning maybe the clutch or something else. Run out of ideas what the problem could be. Any ideas before I give on it?

You don't say what DOES work. Do the forward gears work as they should?

Is your truck a 4WD ? Is the transfer case in neutral?

Yes 1 - 6 all perfect

It’s likely not clutch related if 1-6 work normal.

Did you rebuild any of the shift linkage?

gears 1-6 work perfectly. 4wd

It’s likely not clutch related if 1-6 work normal.

Did you rebuild any of the shift linkage?

Rebuild 1-6 and reverse synchros, Bering's, reverse hob and gear, 6th and 5th gears. That is all the new parts I put in new.

Well, thats sure sounds like you did a mistake during the final assembly process. If all gears work except for the reverse then the fault is inside the transmission and nowhere else.
You have to take it apart again, sorry.
