Hi all!
Been a little slow in getting posted to the board but here goes:
At the meeting on Sunday (RMTDR) I had the opportunity to plug into a couple truck with MIL (malfunction indicator light, i. e. Check Engine) problems. Sean Flanagan was the first, and I was able to pull 5 codes and reset 2 of the five. I believe, from my limited experience, that he has a TPS problem. I also think the reason I couldn't clear the other codes was because the computer(s) were still detecting a fault. Hopefully Sean will let us know when he finds out for sure. Basically what I found out was 1. the software does work, 2. it will clear codes, and 3. you may not be able to precisely diagnose problems with just an OBD-II scanner. All in all I am happy with the product and it is considerably cheaper than the Snap-On version Terry had at the meeting (5-6K). Hope this helps!
Mike
