Comparing the Bush and Clinton administrations, Knight says the climate is only somewhat better for the pro-family movement under Bush.



"The Bush administration has probably slowed down the embrace of homosexual activism by the federal government but it has aided it, to some extent, with appointments such as Michael Guest to be ambassador to Romania," he said. "He's openly homosexual. It's been reported that this has upset the Romanians and the staff of the U. S. Embassy in Bucharest. "



The Bush administration's inaction also speaks volumes, says Knight. Bush has not rescinded any of the executive orders Clinton issued to give special legal privileges to homosexuals.



"They have sent the signal that they will do nothing to oppose homosexual activism openly. They probably won't do much to promote it, but they won't do a whole lot to oppose it either," Knight added. "And when a vacuum exists, and one side is pressing, that means homosexual activists can expect to score more victories. "

He may have his plate somewhat full with the war on terrorism. Although, I am completey against the idea of being forced to accept abnormal sexual behavior as an "alternative lifestyle", I would understand if the President puts that low on the priority list. Given recent events.



I think Michael Guest should have been appointed Ambassador to Afganistan or Somalia.

Like Merle said "like a snowball headed for hell". Until we can get prayer back in schools, and people start sticking to the morals that God intended for us. The liberal bias media will continue to barrage us with images of homosexuality being normal and trying to get all of our firearms taken away.



I understand that in any large group of people you will have some deviants, and I accept that as part of nature. But, I don't want my kids watching a prime time broadcast TV sitcom with a homosexual on it. I wish ABC, CBS or NBC would promote more positive images for our youngsters and teens.

Experiments done in the '40's showed that when rats are crowded in a cage the incidents of homosexuality, homicide and infanticide climbed at the same rate as the population. Until our population begins to shrink this type of behavior will be "normal". It's just nature's way to limit population growth. Sick but true.

I know a few homosexuals who are very moral, spritual,faithful to thier mates,and productive members of this society. Much more than some of the so called spritual leaders preaching hate toward them. Remember what you say and do. Your children are listening. Do you want them to grow up with predudice and hate?Or understanding and love?What did Jesus teach?

This is truely a sign of political correctness that has gone wrong! How can the words homosexuals, moral, and spiritual be used in the same sentence? I do teach my children right from wrong; to be "prejudiced" against what is wrong. That is what Jesus taught!

I tend to agree with you Gene. I do not believe that the gay pride parades need to be televised or that we as a people need this type of exposure. It will however happen and as I said we have to get used to it. The gays I know would not be caught dead at one.

Phobia: Irrational fear of some generally non-dangerous thing or condition.



For me to say that homesexuality is wrong is not "homophobic". It is merely that I proclaim my moral beliefs. That's right, I do believe there is right and there is wrong sexual behavior. It's NOT just a "choice" of behaviors.



I also believe that promiscuity, exploitation, and a wide variety of non-sexual behaviors are wrong - including heavy consumption of alcohol and other drugs, lying, cheating, stealing and the list goes on.



I don't go to people and shout in thier face that they are going to hell real fast for thier behavior, but I can and will tell people what I think is wrong when the topic comes up. BTW, I have met very few actively homosexual people in my lifetime, and I can honestly say, not a one of them was happy in the slightest. And no, it wsan't because "straight" people abused tehm... it was because they were unhappy with thier own lives and with themselves. I've read a little on the subject, and that's not uncommon. Gay people are rarely happy or content with themselves or thier lives - and the average lifespan is many years less than average.



Now, if that makes me "homophobic" in your eyes, so be it. But I know I am not.

Champane Flight, you asked who taught me that homosexuality was wrong. The Bible did as I see it. There are several references in the Old Testament and none favorable to the issue. The Apostle Paul (one area of the New Testament) covered it in Romans 1, starting with verse 26. No where in the Bible have I seen homosexual acts viewed as being acceptable behavior. It is always unacceptable.



To love and care for a family member doesn't mean that you have to condone and approve of an unaccepatable behavior. I've had to deal with some different issues, but, as of yet, I haven't had to deal with the cross wiring issue. And I hope I never do.

The Bible was written by man(contrary to popular believe)and man is subject to his own feelings. I think we messed up when we go farther than the ten comandments. Its all there!



Some think Homosexuality is a choice. It is not. After my best freinds son went public. He told me that no one in thier right mind would CHOOSE that path. Why would you choose to be ridiculed and belittled at every turn?Why would you choose to be beaten by homophobic thugs?Why would you and your life mate choose to never be recognized a couple by society?Why would you choose not to have the same benefits as a man and wife?



It is sexuality,nothing more,nothing less. Us hetrosexuals find the act of homosexuality disgusting,this is only because of our preferance. It is not because it is wrong or evil.

Whats wrong or evil is presenting these topics to grade school (and younger) children who are not able to comprehend the implications of what they are seeing.



I see a 'queer' show on Showtime every other night. I change the channel. I don't want my children exposed to these subjects until they are old enough to understand what sexuality is. It gets to where you can't turn on the news w/o seeing it. There are childrens shows & text books.



My 6 yr old is old enough to ask questions and these are subjects he is not ready to worry about.



I am not phobic either, but I believe it to be wrong. I don't condone gay bashing but I don't want their morals imposed upon me either.

It's teaching the children that "this is normal" is what's wrong.

Also, I dont like the idea of these people taking over say, the St Patricks Day parade.

If youre gay and want a parade, have your own dam parade!!

I don't claim to be the most righteous person in the world. I recognize my trespasses, and realize I am not as close to God's word as I should be. Also, I don't profess to be an expert in theology. However, myself along with many other believers know that the Bible was written by men, but we BELIEVE that these men (the Apostles while writing the Gospels) were inspired by God. Each Gospel was that Apostle's account of things he personally witnessed Jesus do and say. Read them all (if you care), they may describe different events in varying detail, but the messages contained in each are very similar.



By the Old Testament, you are correct. Moses took the ten commandments and carried them to the extreme in Mosaic law. You are also saying that if Jesus said something not contained in the Big Ten, that we should discard it?? You go ahead, I will try to live by Jesus' word along with the ten commandments. If you learn the Bible, and live according to how it speaks to you, good for you. But just as you say you are tolerant of someones deviant sexuality, you should be equally tolerant of an indvidual's beliefs and how God's word speaks to him.

Champane, You've just laid a guilt trip on many of us TDR members. The Ten Commandments states that we should not covet our neighbor's ox. In today's climate, our Rams probably takes the place of the ox. Does that mean I can't covet the horse power and torque of my TDR neighbors Cummins? Oh no! Say its not so!
