BigBadDodge, I would suggest you depart no later than 1:00 pm from Oakland. There's a good part of that route (Oakland to San Jose) that's a reverse commute. If you can get to San Jose by 3 pm it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully that will be very close to the time the San Jose crew will be leaving.
