If you read further back you will hear alot about that stupid bottle. Best solution to eliminate the smell and mess is to take the bottle out, get a 3/4" hose connector and a piece of 3/4" heater hose and run the tube STRAIGHT down and cut it off level with the sway bar. What little oil fumes escape will be taken away by the wind. No more scraping your knuckles emptying it, no more oil dripping all over your engine.
How many miles you have on your ISB now?, putting synthetic in is really a bad idea with anything less then 15-20k miles. Synthetic works TOO good and will definatley hinder the proper valve and ring seating. Also, mixing synthetic with conventional oil nullifies the whole advantage of synthetics. All that Valvoline "Dura Blend" and the other mixes have proved virtually no better then conventional oil. The original idea behind that was the hope that it would increase sales to the people who were scared to use straight synthetics since they were a "new" thing. I would stick with straight 15w-40 Rotella untill break in is complete.
