Baldwin is owned by Clarcor (sp), parent company of Parker. We have done a good bit of work for Parker over the years up in Cleveland.

So Yes Ron, you are right! A Baldwin is a repainted RACOR.

Thank you!!!

so that brings the question again, NAPA or Donaldson for example are they repainted?

You "need" that cap tool and it's a "must have"? Really???
I've never had one or used one and I never spill a drop of oil removing a full oil filter.
I don't do anything but unscrew the filter and lift it out, easy-peasy, no mess at all.

My 2018 has a nice OEM "funnel" under filter drain pan that makes one place to position the oil catch pan. After I removed the "free" dealer installed rag out of it from the first oil change...

I don't see what the fuss is about. Take the filter out through the side letting it drain out in the OEM drain pan and the truck will stop dripping in a day or two.

:D

And, all the benefits of that rust proofing the bottom of the truck gets from the blow back...

Check out Parkers OE fitment guide. Any of them housings look familiar....Line in, line out. Filters even look similar on many.... Fuel line size and deutsch plugs may vary but these filter heads are all very generic and common with minor changes.

Surely they don't have patents on all these as well? If you look at Fleetguard and Donaldson OE fitment guide they are several times larger....you have your OE suppliers and the aftermarket always covers.....I don't see why this would be any different.

It is very odd you are dead set on this o_O

May be odd but the truth is coming out one piece at a time. So knowing that Baldwin is the same as RACOR and if found to be cheaper than RACOR wouldn't knowing the facts make it a wise move to buy the Baldwin???
