Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil Leak

Not sure the year of your truck, but on the 2001, the power steering pump provides hydraulic pressure to build up and compress the nitrogen resivor on the break system. Since you are doing the vacuum pump rebuild, then it is usually a good time to inspect, flush, refill and purge the steering system also.

I think all the 24's have the hydraulic boost brakes.

Finally got the oil leak fixed. On to the steering problem.

Mine seems to be leaking around the Timing Cover Housing Plate!!

Not 100% sure yet ,,but under side is covered,,blowing back from some where??

Is this gasket hard to replace??

Mine is leaking on the drivers side.
